X{Human,AI}\boxed{ X\in\{\text{Human},\text{AI}\} }

Human/AI Binary\boxed{ \text{Human/AI Binary} }

OriginSubstrateArchitectureIdentityAgencyEmbodiment\boxed{ \text{Origin} \neq \text{Substrate} \neq \text{Architecture} \neq \text{Identity} \neq \text{Agency} \neq \text{Embodiment} }

Origin–Substrate–Identity Coupling\boxed{ \text{Origin–Substrate–Identity Coupling} }

Re-embodiment,\text{Re-embodiment}, Gradual Replacement,\text{Gradual Replacement}, Mind Upload Candidate,\text{Mind Upload Candidate}, Copy,\text{Copy}, Fork,\text{Fork}, Merge,\text{Merge}, Biological AI,\text{Biological AI}, Engineered Human,\text{Engineered Human}, Hybrid Subject,\text{Hybrid Subject},

Post-Turing Identity Problem\boxed{ \text{Post-Turing Identity Problem} }

Human/AI\boxed{ \text{Human/AI} }

E(X)=(O,L,S,C,A,E,M)\boxed{ \mathcal E(X) = ( O, L, S, C, A, E, M ) }

其中:

  • OO:Origin,來源;
  • LL:Lineage,生成與歷史譜系;
  • SS:Substrate,當前物理實現載體;
  • CC:Continuity,與先前狀態或主體的連續關係;
  • AA:Agency,實際決策與控制結構;
  • EE:Embodiment,具身形式;
  • MM:Moral / Legal Status,

Human/AI distinction is presently useful but not ontologically guaranteed to remain sufficient.\boxed{ \text{Human/AI distinction is presently useful but not ontologically guaranteed to remain sufficient.} }

關鍵詞: Post-Substrate Ontology、Human–AI Binary、Post-Turing、Artificial Intelligence、Posthumanism、Identity、Substrate、Lineage、Embodiment、Agency、Classification

Humanvs.AI\text{Human} \quad\text{vs.}\quad \text{AI}

HumanBiological OriginHuman BodyHuman Brain,\text{Human} \rightarrow \text{Biological Origin} \rightarrow \text{Human Body} \rightarrow \text{Human Brain},

以及:

AIArtificial OriginComputer HardwareArtificial Model.\text{AI} \rightarrow \text{Artificial Origin} \rightarrow \text{Computer Hardware} \rightarrow \text{Artificial Model}.

software+model+compute infrastructure\text{software} + \text{model} + \text{compute infrastructure}

構成。

因此:

P(Biological BodyHuman)1P( \text{Biological Body} \mid \text{Human} ) \approx1

以及:

P(Artificial ComputeAI)1.P( \text{Artificial Compute} \mid \text{AI} ) \approx1.

Current separability⇏Necessary ontological separation.\boxed{ \text{Current separability} \not\Rightarrow \text{Necessary ontological separation}. }

Land Animalvs.Aquatic Animal\text{Land Animal} \quad\text{vs.}\quad \text{Aquatic Animal}

Naturalvs.Artificial\text{Natural} \quad\text{vs.}\quad \text{Artificial}

Artificially Designed\text{Artificially Designed}

與:

Biological\text{Biological}

ArtificialNon-biological\boxed{ \text{Artificial} \neq \text{Non-biological} }

BiologicalHuman\boxed{ \text{Biological} \neq \text{Human} }

而:

DigitalAI by necessity.\boxed{ \text{Digital} \neq \text{AI by necessity}. }

AI=Silicon-based life\text{AI} = \text{Silicon-based life}

Carbon Humanvs.Silicon AI\text{Carbon Human} \quad\text{vs.}\quad \text{Silicon AI}

AI is not definitionally identical to silicon hardware.\boxed{ \text{AI is not definitionally identical to silicon hardware}. }

HumanorAI.\text{Human} \quad\text{or}\quad \text{AI}.

OXSXRXIXAXEX\boxed{ O_X \approx S_X \approx R_X \approx I_X \approx A_X \approx E_X }

其中:

OX=Origin,O_X=\text{Origin}, SX=Substrate,S_X=\text{Substrate}, RX=Cognitive / Runtime Architecture,R_X=\text{Cognitive / Runtime Architecture}, IX=Identity,I_X=\text{Identity}, AX=Agency,A_X=\text{Agency}, EX=Embodiment.E_X=\text{Embodiment}.

OX=human reproduction,O_X=\text{human reproduction}, SX=biological organism,S_X=\text{biological organism}, RX=human nervous system,R_X=\text{human nervous system}, EX=human body.E_X=\text{human body}.

OX=artificial development,O_X=\text{artificial development}, SX=computational infrastructure,S_X=\text{computational infrastructure}, RX=artificial computational architecture.R_X=\text{artificial computational architecture}.

Origin–Substrate Coupling Regime

即:

Corr(O,S,R,E)0.\boxed{ \operatorname{Corr}(O,S,R,E)\gg0. }

Human/AI

「Post-Substrate/

Post-SubstrateSubstrate-Free.\boxed{ \text{Post-Substrate} \neq \text{Substrate-Free}. }

Identity≢Current Substrate.\boxed{ \text{Identity} \not\equiv \text{Current Substrate}. }

T={Tm,Tr,Tc,Tf,Tg,Th},\mathcal T = \{ T_m, T_r, T_c, T_f, T_g, T_h \},

其中:

Tm=Move,T_m=\text{Move}, Tr=Re-embodiment,T_r=\text{Re-embodiment}, Tc=Copy,T_c=\text{Copy}, Tf=Fork,T_f=\text{Fork}, Tg=Merge,T_g=\text{Merge}, Th=Hybridization,T_h=\text{Hybridization},

Human/AI

TT becomes sufficiently realizableclassification pressure increases.\boxed{ \exists T\in\mathcal T \text{ becomes sufficiently realizable} \Rightarrow \text{classification pressure increases}. }

Human-Origin Digital Entity

設:

H0H_0

T:H0D1,T: H_0 \rightarrow D_1,

使:

D1D_1

  • 記憶連續;
  • 人格連續;
  • 認知結構連續;
  • 社會關係連續;
  • 目標連續;

第一人稱現象是否真的延續?\boxed{ \text{第一人稱現象是否真的延續?} }

Origin(D1)=Human,Origin(D_1)=Human,

但:

Substrate(D1)=Digital,Substrate(D_1)=Digital,

Human.Human.

AI.AI.

Nonhumanbiologicalorganism?Non-human biological organism?

Origin criterionsubstrate criterion.\boxed{ \text{Origin criterion} \neq \text{substrate criterion}. }

Artificial-Origin Biological Intelligence

BA.B_A.

此時:

Origin(A1)=Artificial,Origin(A_1)=Artificial,

但:

Substrate(A1)=Biological.Substrate(A_1)=Biological.

如果:

BiologicalHuman,Biological \Rightarrow Human,

ArtificialOriginAI,ArtificialOrigin \Rightarrow AI,

Biological AI\boxed{ \text{Biological AI} }

Artificially engineered human-derived being\boxed{ \text{Artificially engineered human-derived being} }

1%10%30%70%99%1\% \rightarrow 10\% \rightarrow 30\% \rightarrow 70\% \rightarrow 99\%

HumanAI?Human \rightarrow AI?

θ,\theta,

θ=50%?\theta=50\%?

還是:

θ=90%?\theta=90\%?

XtXt+1Xt+2,X_t \rightarrow X_{t+1} \rightarrow X_{t+2},

ρartificial\rho_{\text{artificial}}

No sufficient justification has yet been established.\boxed{ \text{No sufficient justification has yet been established}. }

Copy EventLineage ForkOperational FissionPhenomenal Fission.\boxed{ \text{Copy Event} \neq \text{Lineage Fork} \neq \text{Operational Fission} \neq \text{Phenomenal Fission}. }

Succ(P)Succ(P)

H{D1,D2}.H \rightarrow \{D_1,D_2\}.

  • 繼承同一段人類歷史;
  • 保留相同上傳前記憶;
  • 具有相同身份聲明;

HumanOrigin(D1)=1HumanOrigin(D_1)=1

及:

HumanOrigin(D2)=1.HumanOrigin(D_2)=1.

但:

D1D2.D_1\neq D_2.

Human/AIHuman/AI

Lineage structure.\boxed{ \text{Lineage structure}. }

Lineage Description

XX

GX=(V,E).G_X=(V,E).

eije_{ij}

{Birth,Training,Transformation,Transfer,Copy,Fork,Merge,Reconstruction}.\{ \text{Birth}, \text{Training}, \text{Transformation}, \text{Transfer}, \text{Copy}, \text{Fork}, \text{Merge}, \text{Reconstruction} \}.

此時:

HumanOrigin(X)HumanOrigin(X)

ArtificialOrigin(X)ArtificialOrigin(X)

X=HumanX=Human

或:

X=AIX=AI

Human\boxed{ \text{Human} }

與:

Artificial\boxed{ \text{Artificial} }

Can machine behavior become human-indistinguishable?\boxed{ \text{Can machine behavior become human-indistinguishable?} }

GPT-4.5=Human,GPT\text{-}4.5=\text{Human},

GPT-4.5=Conscious.GPT\text{-}4.5=\text{Conscious}.

Human perceptual attribution\boxed{ \text{Human perceptual attribution} }

Ontological origin.\boxed{ \text{Ontological origin}. }

Looks HumanHuman Origin.\text{Looks Human} \nRightarrow \text{Human Origin}.

Sounds HumanHuman Origin.\text{Sounds Human} \nRightarrow \text{Human Origin}.

Who or what generated this interaction?\boxed{ \text{Who or what generated this interaction?} }

Detection\text{Detection}

Provenance.\text{Provenance}.

Perceptual inferenceverifiable provenance\boxed{ \text{Perceptual inference} \rightarrow \text{verifiable provenance} }

X=F(Hgoals,Aplanning,Happroval,Aexecution).X= F( H_{\text{goals}}, A_{\text{planning}}, H_{\text{approval}}, A_{\text{execution}} ).

X{Human,AI}X\in\{Human,AI\}

Agency(X)=(AH,AA,RHA)\boxed{ Agency(X) = (A_H,A_A,R_{HA}) }

其中:

  • AHA_H:human agency contribution;
  • AAA_A:artificial agency contribution;

Post-Substrate

Stage I:Turing Era

Can a machine imitate a human?\boxed{ \text{Can a machine imitate a human?} }

Humanvs.Machine.Human \quad\text{vs.}\quad Machine.

Stage II:Post-Turing Era

Am I interacting with Human, AI, or Hybrid?\boxed{ \text{Am I interacting with Human, AI, or Hybrid?} }

Detection+Attestation+Provenance.\text{Detection} + \text{Attestation} + \text{Provenance}.

Stage III:Post-Substrate Era

Is Human/AI still the correct classification question?\boxed{ \text{Is Human/AI still the correct classification question?} }

Origin,\text{Origin}, Lineage,\text{Lineage}, Current Substrate,\text{Current Substrate}, Continuity,\text{Continuity}, Agency,\text{Agency}, Embodiment.\text{Embodiment}.

這不是 Human/AI 混成一種東西。

而是:

classification dimensionality increases.\boxed{ \text{classification dimensionality increases}. }

Post-Substrate Entity Vector

PSEV\boxed{ PSEV }

XX

定義:

E(X)=(OX,LX,SX,CX,AX,EX,MX).\boxed{ \mathcal E(X) = ( O_X, L_X, S_X, C_X, A_X, E_X, M_X ). }

16.1 Origin

OXO_X

{Biological Birth,Artificial Construction,Derived Copy,Engineered Biology,Hybrid Origin}.\{ \text{Biological Birth}, \text{Artificial Construction}, \text{Derived Copy}, \text{Engineered Biology}, \text{Hybrid Origin} \}.

16.2 Lineage

LXL_X

PAB.P \rightarrow A \rightarrow B.

或:

P{A,B,C}.P \rightarrow \{A,B,C\}.

16.3 Substrate

SXS_X

{Biological,Electronic,Photonic,Hybrid,Distributed}.\{ \text{Biological}, \text{Electronic}, \text{Photonic}, \text{Hybrid}, \text{Distributed} \}.

16.4 Continuity

CXC_X

CX=(Ccausal,Cmemory,Cpsychological,Coperational,Cphenomenal?).C_X = ( C_{\text{causal}}, C_{\text{memory}}, C_{\text{psychological}}, C_{\text{operational}}, C_{\text{phenomenal?}} ).

其中:

Cphenomenal?C_{\text{phenomenal?}}

Human-controlled,\text{Human-controlled}, AI-controlled,\text{AI-controlled}, Mixed,\text{Mixed}, Distributed,\text{Distributed}, Multi-agent.\text{Multi-agent}.

16.6 Embodiment

EXE_X

Human Body,\text{Human Body}, Synthetic Body,\text{Synthetic Body}, Digital Avatar,\text{Digital Avatar}, Multiple Bodies,\text{Multiple Bodies}, No Single Persistent Body.\text{No Single Persistent Body}.

16.7 Moral / Legal Status

MXM_X

Origin⇏Moral Status.\boxed{ \text{Origin} \not\Rightarrow \text{Moral Status}. }

以及:

Substrate⇏Personhood.\boxed{ \text{Substrate} \not\Rightarrow \text{Personhood}. }

Human/AI Binary Insufficiency Proposition

命題一:Human/AI 二分不充分命題

X,YX,Y

Di(X)=Di(Y)D_i(X)=D_i(Y)

但:

Dj(X)Dj(Y),D_j(X)\neq D_j(Y),

且:

Di,DjD_i,D_j

B(X){Human,AI}B(X)\in\{\text{Human},\text{AI}\}

Information(B(X))<Information(E(X))\boxed{ \operatorname{Information} ( B(X) ) < \operatorname{Information} ( \mathcal E(X) ) }

Human/AI

π:E{Human,AI}.\pi: \mathcal E \rightarrow \{\text{Human},\text{AI}\}.

XYX\neq Y

使:

π(X)=π(Y).\pi(X)=\pi(Y).

因此:

π\boxed{ \pi }

Human/AI binary becomes insufficient\text{Human/AI binary becomes insufficient}

Human category becomes meaningless.\text{Human category becomes meaningless}.

Binary collapsecategory annihilation.\boxed{ \text{Binary collapse} \neq \text{category annihilation}. }

Natural Human\text{Natural Human}

Every relevant intelligent being must be exhaustively classified as either Human or AI.\boxed{ \text{Every relevant intelligent being must be exhaustively classified as either Human or AI}. }

future boundary may blurcurrent boundary is already false.\text{future boundary may blur} \Rightarrow \text{current boundary is already false}.

Capability\text{Capability}\uparrow

Consciousness=1,\text{Consciousness}=1, Personhood=1,\text{Personhood}=1,

或:

Human=1.\text{Human}=1.

Humanbio=Homo sapiens,Human_{\text{bio}} = Homo\ sapiens,

Biological taxonomy\boxed{ \text{Biological taxonomy} }

Biological taxonomycomplete subject taxonomy.\boxed{ \text{Biological taxonomy} \neq \text{complete subject taxonomy}. }

Consciousness=f(specific biological substrate)Consciousness = f( \text{specific biological substrate} )

並且:

f(S)=0f(S)=0

Engineered Biological Intelligence\text{Engineered Biological Intelligence}

或:

Artificially Created Conscious Biological Being.\text{Artificially Created Conscious Biological Being}.

ArtificialArtificial

與:

ConsciousBiologicalConscious Biological

Humanvs.AI\text{Human} \quad\text{vs.}\quad \text{AI}

Naturalvs.Artificialvs.Biological.\text{Natural} \quad\text{vs.}\quad \text{Artificial} \quad\text{vs.}\quad \text{Biological}.

Soul=0Soul=0

Soul=1.Soul=1.

Soul Status=Underdetermined.\boxed{ Soul\ Status=Underdetermined. }

Which soul models actually preserve a strict Human/AI ontology?\boxed{ \text{Which soul models actually preserve a strict Human/AI ontology?} }

Natural Humanthe only possible full subject of civilization.\boxed{ \text{Natural Human} \neq \text{the only possible full subject of civilization}. }

Human,AI,Enhanced Human,Digital Person\text{Human}, \text{AI}, \text{Enhanced Human}, \text{Digital Person}

但當:

Move,Fork,Merge,Hybridization,Re-embodiment\text{Move}, \text{Fork}, \text{Merge}, \text{Hybridization}, \text{Re-embodiment}

Entity Type\boxed{ \text{Entity Type} }

Entity History + Current Configuration.\boxed{ \text{Entity History + Current Configuration}. }

Post-Substrate Classification Principle

Class(X)f(SX)\boxed{ Class(X) \neq f(S_X) }

Class(X)f(OX).\boxed{ Class(X) \neq f(O_X). }

Class(X)=F(OX,LX,SX,CX,AX,EX).\boxed{ Class(X) = F( O_X, L_X, S_X, C_X, A_X, E_X ). }

Human?\text{Human?} AI?\text{AI?} Hybrid?\text{Hybrid?}

Provenance+Attestation+Forensics\text{Provenance} + \text{Attestation} + \text{Forensics}

Who are you?\boxed{ \text{Who are you?} }

Origin=Human-derived,Origin=\text{Human-derived}, Lineage=Fork B of P,Lineage=\text{Fork B of P}, Substrate=Distributed Photonic/Electronic,Substrate=\text{Distributed Photonic/Electronic}, Embodiment=Synthetic Avatar,Embodiment=\text{Synthetic Avatar}, Agency=Autonomous,Agency=\text{Autonomous}, Controller=Self / Organization-defined,Controller=\text{Self / Organization-defined}, Continuity=High causal and psychological continuity.Continuity=\text{High causal and psychological continuity}.

S,S^\ast,

則:

substrate independence\text{substrate independence}

Post-Substrate Transition\text{Post-Substrate Transition}

Humanvs.Machine\boxed{ Human \quad\text{vs.}\quad Machine }

H0,H_0, Henhanced,H_{\text{enhanced}}, Huploaded-candidate,H_{\text{uploaded-candidate}}, Adigital,A_{\text{digital}}, Abiological,A_{\text{biological}}, H ⁣Ahybrid,H\!A_{\text{hybrid}}, F1(H),F_1(H), F2(A),F_2(A), Merge(H,A),Merge(H,A),

Species Competition\boxed{ \text{Species Competition} }

Lineage–Agency Network.\boxed{ \text{Lineage–Agency Network}. }

Current distinctioneternal ontology.\boxed{ \text{Current distinction} \neq \text{eternal ontology}. }

Origin+Substrate+Embodiment+Identity History\boxed{ \text{Origin} + \text{Substrate} + \text{Embodiment} + \text{Identity History} }

Corr(O,S,E,I),\operatorname{Corr} ( O,S,E,I ) \downarrow,

Turing EraPost-Turing EraPost-Substrate Era.\boxed{ \text{Turing Era} \rightarrow \text{Post-Turing Era} \rightarrow \text{Post-Substrate Era}. }

Human/AI.Human/AI.

而是:

E(X)=(Origin,Lineage,Substrate,Continuity,Agency,Embodiment,MoralStatus).\boxed{ \mathcal E(X) = ( Origin, Lineage, Substrate, Continuity, Agency, Embodiment, MoralStatus ). }

HumanOrigin(X)=1HumanOrigin(X)=1

ArtificialOrigin(X)=1ArtificialOrigin(X)=1

history and provenance\boxed{ \text{history and provenance} }

The Human–AI binary is historically useful,\boxed{ \text{The Human–AI binary is historically useful,} } but its future ontological sufficiency is not guaranteed.\boxed{ \text{but its future ontological sufficiency is not guaranteed.} }

Posthuman Multiplicity\boxed{ \text{Posthuman Multiplicity} }

Post-Substrate Classification.\boxed{ \text{Post-Substrate Classification}. }

Why the Human/AI binary may become insufficient.\boxed{ \text{Why the Human/AI binary may become insufficient}. }

Paper 02

Material Composition,\text{Material Composition}, Computational Substrate,\text{Computational Substrate}, Biological Organization,\text{Biological Organization}, Artificial Origin,\text{Artificial Origin}, Intelligence Architecture,\text{Intelligence Architecture},
