v0.3 已確認:
second-order respect , \text{second-order respect}, second-order respect ,
self-reinforcing status , \text{self-reinforcing status}, self-reinforcing status ,
common-knowledge status , \text{common-knowledge status}, common-knowledge status ,
pluralistic ignorance \text{pluralistic ignorance} pluralistic ignorance
What persists when the status carrier changes? \boxed{
\text{What persists when the status carrier changes?}
} What persists when the status carrier changes?
I ( X t , X t + 1 ) = identity continuity judgment . I(X_t,X_{t+1})
=
\text{identity continuity judgment}. I ( X t , X t + 1 ) = identity continuity judgment .
T a → b ( d ) = status influence transmitted from carrier a to b in domain d . T_{a\rightarrow b}^{(d)}
=
\text{status influence transmitted from carrier }a\text{ to }b
\text{ in domain }d. T a → b ( d ) = status influence transmitted from carrier a to b in domain d .
I ( a , b ) = 0 I(a,b)=0 I ( a , b ) = 0
但:
T a → b ( d ) > 0. T_{a\rightarrow b}^{(d)}>0. T a → b ( d ) > 0.
I ( X t , X t + 1 ) ≈ 1 I(X_t,X_{t+1})\approx1 I ( X t , X t + 1 ) ≈ 1
但:
S X ( t + 1 ) ≪ S X ( t ) . S_X(t+1)\ll S_X(t). S X ( t + 1 ) ≪ S X ( t ) .
Identity Persistence ≠ Status Persistence . \boxed{
\text{Identity Persistence}
\neq
\text{Status Persistence}.
} Identity Persistence = Status Persistence .
collective attribution → individual status-conferring gesture → aggregate attribution \text{collective attribution}
\rightarrow
\text{individual status-conferring gesture}
\rightarrow
\text{aggregate attribution} collective attribution → individual status-conferring gesture → aggregate attribution
self-reinforcing status ranking . \boxed{
\text{self-reinforcing status ranking}.
} self-reinforcing status ranking .
status feedback \text{status feedback} status feedback
short-run status mobility > 0 , \text{short-run status mobility}>0, short-run status mobility > 0 ,
但:
long-run rank stability \text{long-run rank stability} long-run rank stability
past position exerts drag . \boxed{
\text{past position exerts drag}.
} past position exerts drag .
Persistence ≠ Staticness . \boxed{
\text{Persistence}
\neq
\text{Staticness}.
} Persistence = Staticness .
ρ = status persistence coefficient . \rho
=
\text{status persistence coefficient}. ρ = status persistence coefficient .
ρ = F ( tie persistence , reciprocity structure , exit cost , institutional hierarchy , … ) . \rho
=
F(
\text{tie persistence},
\text{reciprocity structure},
\text{exit cost},
\text{institutional hierarchy},
\ldots
). ρ = F ( tie persistence , reciprocity structure , exit cost , institutional hierarchy , … ) .
Japanese psychology is unique . \text{Japanese psychology is unique}. Japanese psychology is unique .
some Japanese historical ecologies → ρ ↑ . \boxed{
\text{some Japanese historical ecologies}
\rightarrow
\rho\uparrow.
} some Japanese historical ecologies → ρ ↑ .
associate status → focal person’s status . \text{associate status}
\rightarrow
\text{focal person's status}. associate status → focal person’s status .
T a → b > 0 T_{a\rightarrow b}>0 T a → b > 0
T a → b is domain-specific . \boxed{
T_{a\rightarrow b}
\text{ is domain-specific}.
} T a → b is domain-specific .
T a → b ( d ) . T_{a\rightarrow b}^{(d)}. T a → b ( d ) .
S a + S b = constant . S_a+S_b=\text{constant}. S a + S b = constant .
S b ( d ) ( t + 1 ) = G ( A b , Z b , Φ b , ∑ a T a → b ( d ) S a ( d ) ( t ) , E t ) . S_b^{(d)}(t+1)
=
G\left(
A_b,
Z_b,
\Phi_b,
\sum_a
T_{a\rightarrow b}^{(d)}
S_a^{(d)}(t),
\mathcal E_t
\right). S b ( d ) ( t + 1 ) = G ( A b , Z b , Φ b , a ∑ T a → b ( d ) S a ( d ) ( t ) , E t ) .
其中:
A b A_b A b :承載者自身屬性;
Z b Z_b Z b :制度與關係位置;
Φ b \Phi_b Φ b :當期他人承認/服從/評價;
T a → b ( d ) T_{a\rightarrow b}^{(d)} T a → b ( d ) :來自其他載體的地位影響;
E t \mathcal E_t E t :
status is re-conferred, not conserved . \boxed{
\text{status is re-conferred, not conserved}.
} status is re-conferred, not conserved .
Multi-Carrier Status Persistence
Multi-Carrier Status Persistence
MCSP
C = { P , H , O , G , N , R , E } , \mathcal C
=
\{
P,H,O,G,N,R,E
\}, C = { P , H , O , G , N , R , E } ,
其中:
P P P :Person,個人;
H H H :House / Lineage,家/家系;
O O O :Office / Role,職位/角色;
G G G :Group / Organization,團體/組織;
N N N :Narrative,故事/傳記/共同記憶;
R R R :Ritual / Symbol,祭祀/稱號/象徵;
E E E :External Evaluator / Institution,
8. Status Carrier Transition Graph
G S = ( C , T ) , \mathcal G_S
=
(
\mathcal C,
\mathcal T
), G S = ( C , T ) ,
a → T a → b ( d ) b a
\xrightarrow{
T_{a\rightarrow b}^{(d)}
}
b a T a → b ( d ) b
表示:
載體 a a a 的既有地位,在領域 d d d 中對載體 b b b 的新地位生成具有可測量影響。
例如:
P father → H → P heir , P_{\text{father}}
\rightarrow
H
\rightarrow
P_{\text{heir}}, P father → H → P heir ,
或:
P hero → N story → P later audience model . P_{\text{hero}}
\rightarrow
N_{\text{story}}
\rightarrow
P_{\text{later audience model}}. P hero → N story → P later audience model .
以及:
G prestigious organization → P member . G_{\text{prestigious organization}}
\rightarrow
P_{\text{member}}. G prestigious organization → P member .
preserve samurai lineages + preserve hereditary political order . \boxed{
\text{preserve samurai lineages}
+
\text{preserve hereditary political order}.
} preserve samurai lineages + preserve hereditary political order .
P old head → H → P adopted heir P_{\text{old head}}
\rightarrow
H
\rightarrow
P_{\text{adopted heir}} P old head → H → P adopted heir
biological inheritance . \text{biological inheritance}. biological inheritance .
carrier substitution . \boxed{
\text{carrier substitution}.
} carrier substitution .
P ( elite ∣ adopted heir ) > P ( elite ∣ biological heir ) . P(\text{elite}\mid\text{adopted heir})
>
P(\text{elite}\mid\text{biological heir}). P ( elite ∣ adopted heir ) > P ( elite ∣ biological heir ) .
養子繼承人約高 19% 機率繼續維持精英身份;
約高 31% 機率進入收入最高 0.1 % 0.1\% 0.1% ;
樣本中的精英家平均代際持續率約為 17 % 17\% 17% ;
House Continuity + Successor Selection → Elite Persistence . \boxed{
\text{House Continuity}
+
\text{Successor Selection}
\rightarrow
\text{Elite Persistence}.
} House Continuity + Successor Selection → Elite Persistence .
Institutional Status Buffer
Institutional Status Buffer
家名;
財產;
官職通道;
人脈;
家臣;
婚姻網;
教育資源;
象徵資本;
外部承認;
P t → ∅ , P_t\rightarrow\varnothing, P t → ∅ ,
H t ≈ H t + 1 . H_t
\approx
H_{t+1}. H t ≈ H t + 1 .
再由:
H t + 1 → P t + 1 H_{t+1}
\rightarrow
P_{t+1} H t + 1 → P t + 1
Node turnover ≠ Topology collapse . \boxed{
\text{Node turnover}
\neq
\text{Topology collapse}.
} Node turnover = Topology collapse .
Carrier turnover ≠ Status-field collapse . \boxed{
\text{Carrier turnover}
\neq
\text{Status-field collapse}.
} Carrier turnover = Status-field collapse .
T H → P ( d ) , T_{H\rightarrow P}^{(d)}, T H → P ( d ) ,
就算:
I ( P t , P t + 1 ) = 0 , I(P_t,P_{t+1})=0, I ( P t , P t + 1 ) = 0 ,
S P t + 1 ( d ) ≫ 0. S_{P_{t+1}}^{(d)}
\gg0. S P t + 1 ( d ) ≫ 0.
13. Prestige bias
others defer to x → I infer x is a useful model → I copy / attend to x . \text{others defer to }x
\rightarrow
\text{I infer }x\text{ is a useful model}
\rightarrow
\text{I copy / attend to }x. others defer to x → I infer x is a useful model → I copy / attend to x .
copied because others copy \boxed{
\text{copied because others copy}
} copied because others copy
14. Narrative
storyteller prestige 對資訊記憶/傳播有可測量效果;
但 narrative content 本身往往比 prestige cue 更重要;
P hero → N hero story P_{\text{hero}}
\rightarrow
N_{\text{hero story}} P hero → N hero story
S N ( t + 1 ) = G ( S N ( t ) , C N , R N , retelling , institutional endorsement ) , S_N(t+1)
=
G(
S_N(t),
C_N,
R_N,
\text{retelling},
\text{institutional endorsement}
), S N ( t + 1 ) = G ( S N ( t ) , C N , R N , retelling , institutional endorsement ) ,
其中:
C N C_N C N :content attractiveness;
R N R_N R N :storyteller / source prestige。
所以:
person dies ⇏ status signal disappears . \boxed{
\text{person dies}
\not\Rightarrow
\text{status signal disappears}.
} person dies ⇒ status signal disappears .
forgiveness . \text{forgiveness}. forgiveness .
A. Material / Political Status
S political . S_{\text{political}}. S political .
B. Narrative Status
S narrative . S_{\text{narrative}}. S narrative .
C. Moral / Heroic Status
S heroic . S_{\text{heroic}}. S heroic .
D. Ritual / Sacred Status
S ritual . S_{\text{ritual}}. S ritual .
S political ↓ 0 S_{\text{political}}\downarrow0 S political ↓ 0
同時:
S narrative ↑ , S_{\text{narrative}}\uparrow, S narrative ↑ ,
S ritual ↑ . S_{\text{ritual}}\uparrow. S ritual ↑ .
status-domain migration . \boxed{
\text{status-domain migration}.
} status-domain migration .
S x = ( S C , S A , S P , S D , S L , S N , S M , S R ) , \mathbf S_x
=
(
S_C,
S_A,
S_P,
S_D,
S_L,
S_N,
S_M,
S_R
), S x = ( S C , S A , S P , S D , S L , S N , S M , S R ) ,
其中:
S C S_C S C :competence;
S A S_A S A :agency;
S P S_P S P :prestige;
S D S_D S D :dominance;
S L S_L S L :legitimacy;
S N S_N S N :narrative salience;
S M S_M S M :moral / heroic status;
S R S_R S R :ritual / sacred status。
S x → 0. \mathbf S_x
\rightarrow
\mathbf 0. S x → 0 .
S L ↓ , S D ↓ , S_L\downarrow,
\quad
S_D\downarrow, S L ↓ , S D ↓ ,
但:
S C ≈ high , S P > 0 , S N > 0. S_C\approx\text{high},
\quad
S_P>0,
\quad
S_N>0. S C ≈ high , S P > 0 , S N > 0.
Status-Vector Rebinding
Status-Vector Rebinding
S x enemy = ( C , A , P , D , L , N , … ) . \mathbf S_x^{\text{enemy}}
=
(
C,A,P,D,L,N,\ldots
). S x enemy = ( C , A , P , D , L , N , … ) .
D ↓ , D\downarrow, D ↓ ,
T threat ↓ . T_{\text{threat}}\downarrow. T threat ↓ .
C , P , N C,
P,
N C , P , N
P x enemy → O x new regime . P_x^{\text{enemy}}
\rightarrow
O_x^{\text{new regime}}. P x enemy → O x new regime .
所以:
reintegration ≠ moral forgiveness . \boxed{
\text{reintegration}
\neq
\text{moral forgiveness}.
} reintegration = moral forgiveness .
retain valuable status dimensions + replace political binding . \boxed{
\text{retain valuable status dimensions}
+
\text{replace political binding}.
} retain valuable status dimensions + replace political binding .
Prestige theory 強調:
deference \text{deference} deference
model quality cue . \text{model quality cue}. model quality cue .
S C ↑ , S A ↑ , S N ↑ . S_C\uparrow,
\quad
S_A\uparrow,
\quad
S_N\uparrow. S C ↑ , S A ↑ , S N ↑ .
S threat , S_{\text{threat}}, S threat ,
P ( reintegration ) ↑ . P(\text{reintegration})\uparrow. P ( reintegration ) ↑ .
Japan uniquely absorbs strong enemies . \text{Japan uniquely absorbs strong enemies}. Japan uniquely absorbs strong enemies .
Does a house/role/narrative continuity system increase T a → b ( d ) across political rupture? \boxed{
\text{Does a house/role/narrative continuity system increase }
T_{a\rightarrow b}^{(d)}
\text{ across political rupture?}
} Does a house/role/narrative continuity system increase T a → b ( d ) across political rupture?
S ↓ ↓ . S\downarrow\downarrow. S ↓↓ .
R S ( x ) = ∣ { c ∈ C : T x → c ( d ) > 0 } ∣ . \mathcal R_S(x)
=
\left|
\left\{
c\in\mathcal C:
T_{x\rightarrow c}^{(d)}>0
\right\}
\right|. R S ( x ) = { c ∈ C : T x → c ( d ) > 0 } .
R S ↑ ⇒ status persistence after shock ↑ . \boxed{
\mathcal R_S\uparrow
\Rightarrow
\text{status persistence after shock}\uparrow.
} R S ↑⇒ status persistence after shock ↑ .
21. Status Bridge Hypothesis
I ( P a , P b ) = 0 , I(P_a,P_b)=0, I ( P a , P b ) = 0 ,
同一個家;
同一個職位;
同一套祭祀;
同一個組織;
同一個故事;
同一個正統性路徑;
T a → b ( d ) > 0. T_{a\rightarrow b}^{(d)}>0. T a → b ( d ) > 0.
Status Bridge
P a → H → P b . P_a
\rightarrow
H
\rightarrow
P_b. P a → H → P b .
22. Status Persistence Decomposition
M1|Autocatalytic Conferral
S t → more deference → S t + 1 . S_t
\rightarrow
\text{more deference}
\rightarrow
S_{t+1}. S t → more deference → S t + 1 .
M2|Cumulative Advantage / Historical Drag
S t → future opportunity structure → S t + n . S_t
\rightarrow
\text{future opportunity structure}
\rightarrow
S_{t+n}. S t → future opportunity structure → S t + n .
M3|Associative Spillover
S a → S b . S_a
\rightarrow
S_b. S a → S b .
M4|Institutional Carrier Substitution
P a → H / O → P b . P_a
\rightarrow
H/O
\rightarrow
P_b. P a → H / O → P b .
M5|Narrative / Symbolic Re-encoding
P a → N / R → S future . P_a
\rightarrow
N/R
\rightarrow
S_{\text{future}}. P a → N / R → S future .
v0.4 不再追求:
new micro-psychological primitive . \text{new micro-psychological primitive}. new micro-psychological primitive .
cross-carrier continuity architecture . \boxed{
\text{cross-carrier continuity architecture}.
} cross-carrier continuity architecture .
G S , J a p a n ≠ ? G S , c o m p a r i s o n . \boxed{
\mathcal G_{S,\mathrm{Japan}}
\stackrel{?}{\neq}
\mathcal G_{S,\mathrm{comparison}}.
} G S , Japan = ? G S , comparison .
H → P heir H\rightarrow P_{\text{heir}} H → P heir
X i = ( S i before , S i after , C i , T i ) . \mathbf X_i
=
(
\mathbf S_i^{\text{before}},
\mathbf S_i^{\text{after}},
\mathcal C_i,
\mathcal T_i
). X i = ( S i before , S i after , C i , T i ) .
官位;
家格;
軍事能力;
財產;
關係網;
敵方評價;
主君評價;
戰敗;
流放;
改易;
收養;
改仕;
赦免;
任官;
死亡;
追贈;
S C , S P , S D , S L , S N , S M , S R . S_C,S_P,S_D,S_L,S_N,S_M,S_R. S C , S P , S D , S L , S N , S M , S R .
status annihilation \text{status annihilation} status annihilation
與:
status migration / rebinding . \text{status migration / rebinding}. status migration / rebinding .
P → N → collective focal individual . P
\rightarrow
N
\rightarrow
\text{collective focal individual}. P → N → collective focal individual .
S \mathbf S S
Status-Vector Rebinding . \boxed{
\text{Status-Vector Rebinding}.
} Status-Vector Rebinding .
self-reinforcing deference + institutional buffer + exit cost . \text{self-reinforcing deference}
+
\text{institutional buffer}
+
\text{exit cost}. self-reinforcing deference + institutional buffer + exit cost .
Recursive Status Ecology + Multi-Carrier Status Persistence . \boxed{
\text{Recursive Status Ecology}
+
\text{Multi-Carrier Status Persistence}.
} Recursive Status Ecology + Multi-Carrier Status Persistence .
H1|Carrier Redundancy Hypothesis
R S ↑ ⇒ P ( status survives shock ) ↑ . \mathcal R_S\uparrow
\Rightarrow
P(\text{status survives shock})\uparrow. R S ↑⇒ P ( status survives shock ) ↑ .
H2|Institutional Substitution Hypothesis
T H → P successor T_{H\rightarrow P_{\text{successor}}} T H → P successor
intergenerational status persistence . \text{intergenerational status persistence}. intergenerational status persistence .
H3|Domain Migration Hypothesis
S political ↓ S_{\text{political}}\downarrow S political ↓
S narrative , S moral , S ritual S_{\text{narrative}},
S_{\text{moral}},
S_{\text{ritual}} S narrative , S moral , S ritual
What must persist for an entity to remain the same entity? \boxed{
\text{What must persist for an entity to remain the same entity?}
} What must persist for an entity to remain the same entity?
What must persist for a social status to remain causally active? \boxed{
\text{What must persist for a social status to remain causally active?}
} What must persist for a social status to remain causally active?
Continuity of Being ≠ Continuity of Social Effect . \boxed{
\text{Continuity of Being}
\neq
\text{Continuity of Social Effect}.
} Continuity of Being = Continuity of Social Effect .
A. Status-domain migration
S political → S heroic/narrative S_{\text{political}}
\rightarrow
S_{\text{heroic/narrative}} S political → S heroic/narrative
B. Institutional carrier substitution
歐洲貴族收養/指定繼承;
中國宗族;
韓國宗家;
商號與家業;
宗教職位;
C. Enemy rebinding
建立:
defeated → eliminated \text{defeated}
\rightarrow
\text{eliminated} defeated → eliminated
與:
defeated → reintegrated \text{defeated}
\rightarrow
\text{reintegrated} defeated → reintegrated

status feedback is not the frontier \boxed{
\text{status feedback}
\text{ is not the frontier}
} status feedback is not the frontier
status persistence across carrier substitution . \boxed{
\text{status persistence across carrier substitution}.
} status persistence across carrier substitution .
P → H / O / N / R → P ′ \boxed{
P
\rightarrow
H/O/N/R
\rightarrow
P'
} P → H / O / N / R → P ′
House Continuity \text{House Continuity} House Continuity
Heroization , Status Persistence , Enemy Reintegration \text{Heroization},
\text{Status Persistence},
\text{Enemy Reintegration} Heroization , Status Persistence , Enemy Reintegration
