$$
\boxed{
\text{If cognition can always reflect again, what makes it stop?}
}
$$

$$
R^{(1)}
\rightarrow
R^{(2)}
\rightarrow
R^{(3)}
\rightarrow
\cdots
$$

形成 semantic regress、meta-evaluation regress、verification regress、planning regress、self-consistency loops、agent cascade 與 representation churn。

$$
\boxed{
\text{Can Reflect Further}
\neq
\text{Should Reflect Further}.
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\Delta G_{k+1}
>
\lambda_C C_{k+1}
+
\lambda_D D_{k+1}
+
\lambda_L L_{k+1}
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Stable but Revisable Closure}
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
K
\rightarrow
\operatorname{Reopen}(K)
\rightarrow
\operatorname{Decrystallize}(K)
}
$$

本文進一步提出 Reflexive Hysteresis、Loop Detection、Semantic Distance Convergence、Order Oscillation Control、Stop Receipt、Closure State、Reopen Trigger、Meta-Budget、Stop Policy Registry、Non-Convergent Loop Escape、Alternative Method Switch、Reflexive Watchdog 與 Closure Lifecycle。

$$
\boxed{
\text{Reflexivity needs a stopping theory as much as a reflection theory.}
}
$$

**關鍵詞：** Reflexivity、Stopping Condition、Infinite Regress、Cognitive Stability、Task-Sufficient Closure、Decrystallization、Convergence、Meta-Budget、Hysteresis、Reopening

Paper 08 建立：

$$
R^{(1)}
\rightarrow
R^{(2)}
\rightarrow
\cdots
\rightarrow
R^{(k)}.
$$

$$
k\rightarrow\infty
$$

$$
Quality\rightarrow\infty.
$$

$$
Cost\rightarrow\infty
$$

而：

$$
Gain\rightarrow0.
$$

$$
Instability\uparrow.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Reflexivity without closure is incomplete architecture}.
}
$$

---

# 1. Infinite Regress

$$
R^{(1)}
=
\text{Answer}.
$$

接著：

$$
R^{(2)}
=
Evaluate(R^{(1)}).
$$

然後：

$$
R^{(3)}
=
Evaluate(R^{(2)}).
$$

一般：

$$
R^{(k+1)}
=
Evaluate(R^{(k)}).
$$

$$
k\rightarrow\infty.
$$

---

$$
R^{(k)}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{more reflection is always possible}.
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{more reflection is not always useful}.
}
$$

---

$$
PossibleReflect(R^{(k)})=1
$$

$$
UsefulReflect(R^{(k)})=1.
$$

因此：

$$
\boxed{
\text{Reflexive Possibility}
\neq
\text{Reflexive Utility}.
}
$$

---

Stop

$$
\text{no further cognition possible}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{no further active cognition is currently justified}.
}
$$

所以 stop 是 resource / utility / governance decision。

---

# 5. Task-Sufficient Closure

$$
\boxed{
\text{Task-Sufficient Closure}.
}
$$

---

# 6. Closure State

定義：

$$
C_t
=
(
\text{Task},
\text{Decision},
\text{Evidence},
\text{Unknowns},
\text{Risk},
\text{Confidence},
\text{OpenConditions},
\text{ReopenTriggers}
).
$$

Closure

$$
Unknowns\neq\varnothing.
$$

Stop

$$
\boxed{
\text{Unknown}
\neq
\text{Unclosable}.
}
$$

---

# 8. Critical Unknown

只有：

$$
Unknown\cap CriticalInvariant\neq\varnothing
$$

---

# 9. Task-Sufficient Semantic Alignment

$$
\Delta_{infer}(A,B)
$$

$$
\epsilon_{\tau},
$$

$$
\boxed{
\Delta_{infer}<\epsilon_{\tau}
\Rightarrow
\text{alignment sufficient}.
}
$$

---

# 10. Semantic Infinite Regress

$$
\text{Definition}
\rightarrow
\text{DefinitionOfDefinition}
\rightarrow
\cdots
$$

---

# 11. Pragmatic Semantic Closure

定義：

$$
SemClose(\tau)
$$

---

# 12. Stop 不是 Truth Claim

$$
Stop=1
$$

$$
\Delta G_{k+1}
=
G(
R^{(k+1)}
)
-
G(
R^{(k)}
).
$$

如果：

$$
\Delta G_{k+1}
\rightarrow0,
$$

---

# 14. Marginal-Gain Stop

若：

$$
\Delta G_{k+1}
<
\theta_G,
$$

---

# 15. Cost-Aware Stop

若：

$$
\Delta G_{k+1}
<
\lambda_C C_{k+1},
$$

則：

$$
\text{Stop}.
$$

---

# 16. Risk-Adjusted Stop

$$
\boxed{
\Delta G_{k+1}
>
\lambda_C C_{k+1}
+
\lambda_D D_{k+1}
+
\lambda_L L_{k+1}
}
$$

---

# 17. Policy Override

- second review；
- formal verification；
- human approval；

$$
\text{Continue}.
$$

## 18.1 Task-Sufficient Stop

## 18.2 Marginal-Gain Stop

## 18.3 Budget Stop

## 18.4 Convergence Stop

state 已收斂。

## 18.5 Evidence-Saturation Stop

## 18.6 Risk-Resolved Stop

critical risk 已降到 threshold。

## 18.7 Policy Stop

---

# 19. Budget Stop

若：

$$
B_{remaining}
\le0,
$$

$$
\text{BudgetLimited}.
$$

---

# 20. Budget-Limited Closure

---

# 21. Closure Types

可分：

$$
\{
\text{SUFFICIENT},
\text{CONVERGED},
\text{BUDGETED},
\text{POLICY},
\text{PROVISIONAL},
\text{BLOCKED}
\}.
$$

---

# 22. Sufficient Closure

---

# 23. Converged Closure

---

# 24. Budgeted Closure

---

# 25. Policy Closure

---

# 26. Provisional Closure

---

# 27. Blocked Closure

---

# 28. Stop 與 Wait 不同

有些 task：

$$
\text{Blocked}
$$

---

# 29. Epistemic Block

定義：

$$
\boxed{
\text{No Additional Internal Cognition Can Resolve the Missing External Fact}.
}
$$

---

# 30. Evidence Saturation

令：

$$
E_n
$$

為第 $n$ 批 evidence。

若：

$$
P(H|E_{1:n})
$$

$$
\Delta P<\epsilon,
$$

則可判 evidence saturation。

---

---

# 32. Source Diversity Saturation

- independent sources；
- different methods；
- contradiction search。

---

# 33. Convergence

令 cognition state embedding / semantic state distance：

$$
d(
R_{t+1},
R_t
).
$$

如果：

$$
d
<
\epsilon_C
$$

持續：

$$
n
$$

---

# 34. Semantic Convergence

$$
\text{Decision}(R_{t+1})
=
\text{Decision}(R_t)
$$

且：

$$
\text{CriticalInvariant}
$$

---

# 35. Textual Convergence

$$
\text{TextSim}\uparrow
$$

- decision；
- constraint；
- evidence；
- risk；
- unknown。

---

# 36. False Convergence

$$
\text{Validation}
$$

配合。

---

# 37. Independent Check

$$
\text{Convergence}
+
\text{IndependentValidation}.
$$

---

# 38. Verification Regress

$$
V_1
$$

$$
V_1?
$$

可有：

$$
V_2.
$$

$$
V_3.
$$

這是 verifier regress。

---

# 39. Verification Anchor

- formal proof checker；
- deterministic test；
- external source；
- trusted transaction receipt；
- explicit policy authority。

---

# 40. Anchor Is Operational, Not Metaphysical

$$
V_{base}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{runtime must choose a finite trusted boundary}.
}
$$

---

# 41. Trusted Boundary

$$
T_B.
$$

當 cognition 到達：

$$
T_B,
$$

---

# 42. Boundary Governance

$$
\text{same-task infinite regress}.
$$

---

# 43. Cross-Task Reflexivity

$$
\boxed{
\text{Reflexivity can be temporally separated}.
}
$$

---

# 44. This Is Crucial

---

# 45. Meta-Budget

---

# 46. Meta-Budget Prevents Reflection Capture

當：

$$
B_M
$$

必須：

- commit；
- defer；
- block；
- request external evidence。

---

# 47. Meta-Budget Allocation

依：

- risk；
- novelty；
- failure；
- ambiguity；

調整。

---

# 48. High Risk Gets Larger Meta-Budget

---

# 49. Loop Detection

$$
h(R_t)
$$

為 semantic fingerprint。

如果：

$$
h(R_t)
\approx
h(R_{t-m}),
$$

可能進 loop。

---

# 50. Loop Signature

包括：

- same question；
- same evidence；
- same route；
- same conclusion；
- no new information。

---

# 51. Productive Loop

$$
\text{Progress}.
$$

---

# 52. Productive vs Unproductive Loop

Productive：

$$
d(R_{t+1},\text{Goal})
<
d(R_t,\text{Goal}).
$$

Unproductive：

$$
\Delta \text{GoalDistance}\approx0.
$$

---

# 53. Loop Escape

當 loop 無效：

1. change representation；
2. change method；
3. reopen source；
4. call independent agent；
5. reduce problem；
6. stop.

---

# 54. Representation Churn

另一種 loop：

$$
\text{Graph}
\rightarrow
\text{Text}
\rightarrow
\text{Graph}
\rightarrow
\text{Text}.
$$

沒有 semantic gain。

---

# 55. Churn Detection

如果 representation switch：

$$
n_{switch}\uparrow
$$

而：

$$
\text{Gain}\approx0,
$$

stop switching。

---

# 56. Agent Cascade Loop

$$
A\rightarrow B\rightarrow C\rightarrow A.
$$

---

# 57. Tool Cascade Loop

---

# 58. Planning Loop

AI 一直：

- plan；
- replan；
- plan again；

卻不 execute。

這是 planning regress。

---

# 59. Plan-to-Action Gate

$$
\text{ActionReadiness}>\theta,
$$

---

# 60. ActionReadiness

- target resolved；
- constraints known；
- authority valid；
- risk acceptable。

---

# 61. Analysis Paralysis

$$
\boxed{
\text{Analysis Paralysis}.
}
$$

---

# 62. Stop Policy as First-Class Component

$$
\mathcal S_t
$$

Stop Policy。

---

# 63. Stop Policy Inputs

包括：

- task state；
- current order；
- risk；
- budget；
- marginal gain；
- convergence；
- open critical unknowns；
- policy requirements。

---

# 64. Stop Policy Output

$$
\{
CONTINUE,
STOP,
COMMIT,
DEFER,
BLOCK,
REFRAME,
REOPEN
\}.
$$

---

# 65. STOP ≠ COMMIT

$$
BLOCK.
$$

---

# 66. DEFER

---

# 67. REFRAME

---

# 68. REOPEN

---

# 69. Stop Receipt

$$
\boxed{
SR
=
(
\text{task},
\text{closure\_type},
\text{reason},
\text{evidence},
\text{remaining unknowns},
\text{risk},
\text{reopen\_triggers},
\text{time}
)
}
$$

---

# 70. Stop Receipt Prevents False Finality

$$
STOP
$$

---

# 71. Stable but Revisable Closure

$$
\boxed{
\text{Stable}
\neq
\text{Irreversible}.
}
$$

---

# 72. Closure Lifecycle

$$
OPEN
\rightarrow
STABLE
\rightarrow
REOPENED
\rightarrow
RESTABILIZED.
$$

$$
STABLE
\rightarrow
SUPERSEDED.
$$

---

# 73. Reopen Trigger

- new evidence；
- contradiction；
- failure；
- version change；
- policy change；
- authority change；
- source invalidation；
- crystal drift。

---

# 74. Reopen Trigger Must Be Stored

---

# 75. Closure Scope

$$
\text{Scope}.
$$

---

# 76. Local Closure

$$
Closed(Task_A)
$$

$$
Closed(GlobalTruth).
$$

---

# 77. Closure Inheritance

---

# 78. Over-Closure

---

# 79. Under-Closure

---

# 80. Reflexive Hysteresis

如果：

$$
\text{Uncertainty}
$$

$$
STOP
\leftrightarrow
REOPEN
$$

---

# 81. Two Thresholds

設：

$$
\theta_{close}
<
\theta_{reopen}.
$$

$$
\theta_{close}
$$

$$
\theta_{reopen}
$$

才 reopen。

---

# 82. Hysteresis Prevents Oscillation

---

# 83. Crystal and Closure

$$
\text{Crystal}
\neq
\text{FinalTruth}.
$$

---

# 84. Crystal Reopen Trigger

如果：

$$
K
$$

$$
Reopen(K).
$$

---

# 85. Decrystallization

如果：

$$
K
$$

$$
\boxed{
Decrystallize(K).
}
$$

---

# 86. Decrystallization Conditions

例如：

1. core invariant broken；
2. source lineage invalid；
3. scope split；
4. validator invalid；
5. repeated runtime failure；
6. new evidence rewrites underlying topology。

---

# 87. Decrystallization ≠ Delete

$$
\text{higher-order unit}
\rightarrow
\text{lower-order explicit structure}.
$$

---

# 88. Why Decrystallization Helps Stop Regress

$$
\boxed{
\text{open it}.
}
$$

把 meta question 轉回 concrete evidence question。

---

# 89. Downward Escape

$$
\boxed{
\text{downward escape from meta-regress}.
}
$$

---

# 90. Reopen Before Reflecting Again

---

# 91. Concrete Before Meta

$$
\text{source mismatch},
$$

就查 source。

不要：

$$
meta\rightarrow meta\rightarrow meta.
$$

---

# 92. Evidence-First Escape

$$
\text{ReanchorSource}.
$$

---

# 93. Method-Switch Escape

$$
\text{SwitchMethod}.
$$

---

# 94. Representation-Switch Escape

Graph

$$
\text{Symbolic},
\text{Tensor},
\text{Raw}.
$$

---

# 95. Agent-Switch Escape

---

# 96. Problem-Reframe Escape

$$
\text{Reframe}.
$$

---

# 97. Stop as an Operator

因此：

$$
STOP
$$

本身是 cognition operator。

---

# 98. Stop Is Not Passive Failure

好的 stop 是：

$$
\boxed{
\text{an active decision to preserve cognitive resources}.
}
$$

---

# 99. Commit Operator

若 closure sufficient：

$$
STOP
\rightarrow
COMMIT.
$$

---

# 100. Defer Operator

若 external dependency：

$$
STOP
\rightarrow
DEFER.
$$

---

# 101. Block Operator

$$
STOP
\rightarrow
BLOCK.
$$

---

# 102. Reflexive Watchdog

- depth；
- branch；
- loop；
- cost；
- marginal gain；
- oscillation；
- stale snapshots。

---

# 103. Watchdog Does Not Need Full Intelligence

某些 rule 可 deterministic。

例如：

$$
max\_verification\_rounds=3.
$$

---

# 104. Hybrid Watchdog

---

# 105. Hard Stop

例如：

$$
Time>Deadline.
$$

必須 stop。

---

# 106. Soft Stop

例如：

$$
MarginalGain<0.01.
$$

可由 model override under high risk。

---

# 107. Governance Stop

- max autonomous loops；
- required human approval；
- no self-modification beyond level X。

---

# 108. Cognitive Freedom Needs Boundaries

$$
\boxed{
\text{self-bounded cognition}.
}
$$

---

# 109. Self-Boundary as Capability

---

# 110. Meta-Cognitive Restraint

$$
\boxed{
\text{meta-cognitive restraint}.
}
$$

---

# 111. Stop Quality as Intelligence Metric

$$
\boxed{
\text{Stop Quality}.
}
$$

---

# 112. Early Stop Error

$$
\text{StopTooEarly}.
$$

造成：

- missed contradiction；
- unsafe commit；
- unresolved critical unknown。

---

# 113. Late Stop Error

$$
\text{StopTooLate}.
$$

造成：

- wasted compute；
- delay；
- meta-loop；
- planning paralysis。

---

# 114. Stop Calibration

$$
Cost_{early}
+
Cost_{late}.
$$

---

# 115. Stop Calibration by Task Class

不同 task：

$$
\theta_{stop}
$$

不同。

---

# 116. Mathematics

Proof verification

$$
\epsilon.
$$

---

# 117. Creative Brainstorm

---

# 118. Real-Time Control

---

# 119. Scientific Research

$$
PROVISIONAL.
$$

---

# 120. Provisional Closure Is Powerful

$$
\boxed{
\text{Closed for now}
}
$$

$$
\text{Final truth}
$$

---

# 121. Closure as Versioned Object

$$
C_{v1},
C_{v2}.
$$

---

# 122. New Evidence

$$
C_{v1}
\rightarrow
REOPEN
\rightarrow
C_{v2}.
$$

---

# 123. Closure History

保：

- why closed；
- why reopened；
- what changed。

---

# 124. Closure and SEDB

與 epistemic lifecycle 相容：

$$
\text{Proposed}
\rightarrow
\text{Active}
\rightarrow
\text{Converged}
\rightarrow
\text{Reactivated}.
$$

---

# 125. Converged ≠ Deleted

---

# 126. Converged ≠ Untouchable

新 evidence 可 reactivate。

---

# 127. Closure and Memory Pollution

$$
\text{Crystallize}
$$

並 archive low-level trace。

---

# 128. Closure Crystal

$$
K_C
$$

保存：

- final working state；
- evidence；
- unknown；
- reopen trigger；
- next dependency。

---

# 129. Closure Crystal Can Resume

future：

$$
Resume(K_C).
$$

---

# 130. Stop and Long-Horizon Agents

---

# 131. Do-Not-Reopen List

$$
NoReopenUnless(trigger).
$$

---

# 132. This Prevents Cognitive Churn

---

# 133. Reopen Trigger Contract

例如：

```text
reopen_if:
- source_version_changes
- test_fails
- user_changes_goal
- new_contradiction
```

---

# 134. Stop and Memory Retrieval

---

# 135. Retrieval Saturation

當新增 retrieval：

$$
\Delta Decision=0
$$

停止。

---

# 136. Search Stop

Web / database research

$$
\text{more sources}
$$

---

# 137. Search Sufficient Coverage

可由：

- source diversity；
- claim coverage；
- contradiction coverage；
- freshness；

判定。

---

# 138. Stop and Multi-Agent Debate

---

# 139. Debate Stop

當：

- arguments 重複；
- no new evidence；
- disagreement narrowed to irreducible values / assumptions；

停止。

---

# 140. Irreducible Disagreement

如果：

$$
A
$$

與：

$$
B
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Normative Divergence}
}
$$

---

# 141. Epistemic vs Normative Stop

---

# 142. Stop and Human Escalation

$$
BLOCK
\rightarrow
\text{HumanDecision}.
$$

---

# 143. Human Escalation Is Not Failure

---

# 144. Stop and Autonomous Scope

---

# 145. Closure Authority

$$
Authority(C)
$$

與 cognition order 分離。

---

# 146. High-Order Closure with Low Authority

---

# 147. Low-Order Closure with High Authority

---

# 148. Stop and Risk

$$
Risk_{residual}
<
\theta_R.
$$

---

# 149. Residual Risk

$$
\text{ResidualRisk}.
$$

---

# 150. Risk-Resolved Stop

不是：

$$
Risk=0.
$$

而是：

$$
Risk\le AcceptableThreshold.
$$

---

# 151. Stop and Uncertainty Calibration

---

# 152. Evidence-Weighted Confidence

$$
Conf_{eff}
=
F(
\text{model confidence},
\text{evidence},
\text{coverage},
\text{validation},
\text{distortion}
).
$$

---

# 153. Stop and Controlled Distortion

如果 active representation loss：

$$
D
$$

過高，

closure 前需 precision escalate。

---

# 154. Closure Precision Gate

$$
D_{critical}
\le
\epsilon_{commit}.
$$

---

# 155. Stop and ISQL

$$
ISQL_{resolved}.
$$

---

# 156. Closure Contract

包括：

- ID；
- version；
- decision；
- evidence；
- unknowns；
- scope；
- reopen conditions。

---

# 157. Stop and PSSA

$$
PROVISIONAL\ CLOSE
$$

---

# 158. Open Concept, Closed Task

$$
\boxed{
\text{Concept may remain open while the current task closes}.
}
$$

---

# 159. Example

$$
a_t.
$$

---

# 160. Stop and Hyperlink

closure 可建立：

$$
H_{reopen}.
$$

---

# 161. Reopen Hyperlink

$$
C
\xrightarrow{trigger}
R^{(k)}.
$$

---

# 162. Stop and Route Compilation

---

# 163. Stop Crystal

$$
K_{stop}
$$

---

# 164. Stop Crystal Risk

---

# 165. Stop Policy Drift

---

# 166. Stop Policy Revalidation

- early-stop error；
- late-stop cost；
- risk incidents。

---

# 167. Reflexive Stop Paradox

$$
\boxed{
\text{Yes, but not necessarily inside the same task}.
}
$$

---

# 168. Separation of Operational Loop and Governance Loop

Operational task

$$
StopPolicy_v.
$$

Governance task

$$
StopPolicy_v.
$$

---

# 169. This Breaks Same-Task Regress

將：

$$
\text{policy audit}
$$

---

# 170. Multi-Timescale Reflexivity

$$
\boxed{
\text{Reflexivity should operate on multiple timescales}.
}
$$

---

# 171. Fast Loop

處理：

- task；
- local error；
- immediate uncertainty。

---

# 172. Medium Loop

處理：

- route；
- crystal；
- repeated failure。

---

# 173. Slow Loop

處理：

- policy；
- architecture；
- validator；
- stop strategy。

---

# 174. Timescale Separation

---

# 175. Cognitive Homeostasis

$$
\boxed{
\text{keeping cognition within a useful operating region}.
}
$$

---

# 176. Instability Dimensions

包括：

- order too high；
- branch too high；
- cost too high；
- uncertainty oscillation；
- representation churn；
- repeated reopen。

---

# 177. Stability Vector

$$
S
=
(
S_{order},
S_{branch},
S_{cost},
S_{semantic},
S_{route},
S_{closure}
).
$$

---

# 178. Stability Does Not Mean No Change

- learn；
- reopen；
- reframe；

---

# 179. Stable Adaptivity

$$
\boxed{
\text{Stability}
+
\text{Revisability}
}
$$

而不是 rigidity。

---

# 180. Reflexive Homeostat

$$
\mathcal H_R
$$

監控：

$$
S.
$$

---

# 181. Intervention

如果 order instability：

$$
\text{deescalate}.
$$

如果 semantic instability：

$$
\text{reanchor}.
$$

如果 crystal instability：

$$
\text{reopen}.
$$

如果 route instability：

$$
\text{switch}.
$$

---

# 182. Reflexive Intervention Table

---

# 183. One More Thought Fallacy

$$
\boxed{
\text{One-More-Thought Fallacy}.
}
$$

---

# 184. New Information Requirement

若：

$$
NewEvidence=0
$$

且：

$$
NewMethod=0
$$

且：

$$
NewRepresentation=0,
$$

---

# 185. Reflection Should Change Something

- evidence；
- method；
- representation；
- assumption；
- route；
- confidence；
- decision。

---

# 186. Zero-Delta Reflection

如果：

$$
\Delta=0,
$$

---

# 187. Stop and Novelty

在 creative task，可能 deliberately keep open。

$$
\text{StopCurrentEpisode}
$$

而不是 final close。

---

# 188. Open-Ended Closure

---

# 189. Stop and Research

$$
PROVISIONAL.
$$

---

# 190. Scientific Closure

不是 final truth。

而是：

$$
\boxed{
\text{current best supported state under known evidence}.
}
$$

---

# 191. Stop and Mathematics

形式 proof 若 verified，可對 theorem proof task closure。

但 broader interpretation 仍 open。

---

# 192. Stop and Software

tests pass 可 closure current implementation task。

未來 environment change 再 reopen。

---

# 193. Stop and Planning

plan approved 只是 planning closure。

execution feedback 可 reopen。

---

# 194. Stop and World Model

world model 永遠 provisional。

但 local action model 可 closure。

---

# 195. Closure Hierarchy

可有：

- subtask closure；
- task closure；
- project closure；
- theory closure。

---

# 196. Higher Closure Does Not Delete Lower History

每層保 lineage。

---

# 197. Closure Composition

若：

$$
C_1,\ldots,C_n
$$

都是 verified subtask closures，

$$
C_{project}.
$$

但需要 cross-dependency check。

---

# 198. Closure Crystallization

多 subclosures 可：

$$
\text{Crystallize}
\rightarrow
K_{project}.
$$

---

# 199. Closure and X-Order Collapse

---

# 200. But Reopen Conditions Preserve Reflexivity

這使：

$$
\boxed{
\text{Closure reduces active recursion without destroying future reflexivity}.
}
$$

---

# 201. Stop as Cognitive Compression

$$
\text{OpenSearchSpace}
$$

$$
\text{StableState}.
$$

---

# 202. Closure Loss

Stop 也有 loss：

- unexplored alternatives；
- unused evidence；
- unresolved unknown。

---

# 203. Stop Distortion Profile

$$
D_{stop}
=
(
\text{unexplored},
\text{unverified},
\text{uncertain},
\text{deferred}
).
$$

---

# 204. This Prevents Fake Finality

---

# 205. Closure Confidence

$$
Conf_C
=
(
\text{evidence},
\text{coverage},
\text{validator},
\text{freshness},
\text{residual risk}
).
$$

---

# 206. Closure Freshness

一個 closure 會 stale。

---

# 207. Closure TTL

對 volatile domain 可有：

$$
TTL.
$$

---

# 208. TTL Expiry

$$
\text{RevalidateBeforeReuse}.
$$

---

# 209. Stop and Capability Gate

---

# 210. Low-Capability Stop Policy

更多 deterministic bounds：

- max rounds；
- max order；
- fixed validator。

---

# 211. High-Capability Stop Policy

---

# 212. Stop Ability as Architecture Driving Requirement

---

# 213. Capability Vector Add Stop Dimension

$$
Q_{drive}(M)
=
(
\ldots,
q_{stop}
).
$$

---

# 214. Stop Benchmark

應測：

1. easy task
2. ambiguous task
3. loop
4. new evidence 是否 reopen；

---

# 215. Stop Robustness

---

# 216. Stop and Adversarial Reflection

---

# 217. Recursive Prompt Injection

---

# 218. Stop Policy Must Be Higher Authority than Content

$$
\boxed{
\text{Content}
\not\Rightarrow
\text{StopPolicyOverride}.
}
$$

---

# 219. Stop and Safety

- mandatory review；
- hard stop；
- deny action。

---

# 220. Stop and Autonomy

$$
\boxed{
\text{self-termination of useless cognition loops}.
}
$$

---

# 221. Stop and Economic Scaling

---

# 222. Reflexive Cost Multiplier

若每 task：

$$
k
$$

階，

每階又 fanout：

$$
b,
$$

$$
O(b^k).
$$

Stop 是 scaling primitive。

---

# 223. Stop and Latency

---

# 224. Stop and Energy

---

# 225. Thus Stop Is Infrastructure, Not Prompt Style

$$
\boxed{
\text{runtime-level cognitive control}.
}
$$

---

# 226. Stop Policy Registry

$$
\mathcal S
=
\{S_1,\ldots,S_n\}.
$$

---

# 227. Stop Policy Contract

```text
policy_id
task_profile
risk_class
max_order
max_branch
min_validation
marginal_gain_threshold
convergence_threshold
reopen_rules
hard_stops
```

---

# 228. Stop Policy Versioning

$$
S_{v1}\rightarrow S_{v2}.
$$

---

# 229. Stop Policy Receipt

$$
policy\_version.
$$

---

# 230. Stop Policy Audit

- incident；
- cost；
- early/late stop rate。

---

# 231. Stop Policy Crystallization

$$
K_{stop}.
$$

但仍 versioned。

---

# 232. Stop Policy and Semantic Role

不同 semantic object：

- hypothesis；
- action；
- proof；
- search；

---

# 233. Hypothesis Closure

可保：

$$
UNRESOLVED.
$$

---

# 234. Action Closure

要求：

$$
READY/BLOCKED.
$$

---

# 235. Proof Closure

要求：

$$
VERIFIED/FAILED.
$$

---

# 236. Search Closure

要求：

$$
SUFFICIENT\ COVERAGE.
$$

---

# 237. Stop and Agent Handoff

如果 task handoff：

$$
A\rightarrow B,
$$

A 可以 closure 自己的 active loop。

---

# 238. Local Closure vs Global Closure

$$
Closed_A
\neq
Closed_{Task}.
$$

---

# 239. Distributed Closure

Coordinator 判 global closure。

---

# 240. Global Closure Gate

需要：

- all critical subtasks resolved；
- dependencies satisfied；
- conflicts resolved or explicitly retained。

---

# 241. Stop and Conflict

$$
\boxed{
\text{Known Unresolved Conflict}.
}
$$

---

# 242. Conflict Closure

要求：

- conflict explicit；
- sources explicit；
- impact bounded；
- next trigger known。

---

# 243. This Is Better than Forced Consensus

---

# 244. Stop and Normative Choice

如果 conflict 是 values：

AI 可以 closure factual analysis，將 normative decision 移交。

---

# 245. Domain Boundary Closure

---

# 246. Stop and External Authority

---

# 247. Stop and Free Will

- self-chosen stop within policy；
- explicit autonomy budget。

---

# 248. Reflexive Stability vs Suppression

$$
\boxed{
\text{reflection should produce measurable cognitive progress}.
}
$$

---

# 249. Progress Metrics

- uncertainty；
- evidence；
- risk；
- decision；
- route；
- structure；
- problem framing。

---

# 250. Reflection Without Progress

$$
n
$$

輪無 progress，

強制：

$$
Switch/Stop.
$$

---

# 251. Non-Convergent Loop Escape Policy

例如：

1. detect stagnation；
2. change representation；
3. change method；
4. reanchor source；
5. independent verifier；
6. reframe；
7. stop.

---

# 252. Escalation Ladder for Escape

---

# 253. Minimal Intervention Principle

---

# 254. Example

$$
\text{SearchSource}.
$$

$$
\text{PolicyMetaReview}.
$$

---

# 255. This Is Another Minimum Sufficient Order Principle

$$
\boxed{
\text{Solve instability at the lowest effective layer}.
}
$$

---

# 256. Decrystallization as Low-Layer Repair

Crystal

$$
\text{Reopen}.
$$

---

# 257. Stop, Reopen, Decrystallize Are Complementary

$$
STOP
$$

關閉 active recursion。

$$
REOPEN
$$

$$
DECRYSTALLIZE
$$

降低 abstraction layer。

---

# 258. Three-Way Stability Control

$$
\boxed{
\text{Cognitive Stability Triad}.
}
$$

---

# 259. Stop = Temporal Closure

---

# 260. Reopen = Temporal Reactivation

---

# 261. Decrystallize = Structural Re-expansion

---

# 262. Closure and Memory Lifecycle

---

# 263. Closure Event

```text
task_id
closure_type
decision
remaining_unknowns
risk
reopen_triggers
policy_version
```

---

# 264. Reopen Event

記：

- trigger；
- prior closure；
- changed evidence；
- new task state。

---

# 265. Decrystallization Event

記：

- crystal ID；
- reason；
- invalidated invariants；
- recovered structure。

---

# 266. Reflexive Stability Runtime

$$
\boxed{
\mathfrak R_s
=
(
\mathcal O,
\mathcal B,
\mathcal G,
\mathcal C,
\mathcal L,
\mathcal H,
\mathcal T
)
}
$$

其中：

- $\mathcal O$：order controller；
- $\mathcal B$：budget controller；
- $\mathcal G$：gain estimator；
- $\mathcal C$：convergence detector；
- $\mathcal L$：loop detector；
- $\mathcal H$：hysteresis / homeostasis；
- $\mathcal T$：stop / reopen / decrystallize transitions。

---

# 267. Stop Function

$$
S(
R_t,
\text{Task},
\text{Risk},
\text{Budget},
\text{Policy}
)
\rightarrow
\text{Decision}.
$$

---

# 268. Decision Set

$$
\text{Decision}
\in
\{
\text{CONTINUE},
\text{ESCALATE},
\text{DEESCALATE},
\text{STOP},
\text{COMMIT},
\text{DEFER},
\text{BLOCK},
\text{REFRAME},
\text{REOPEN}
\}.
$$

---

# 269. Stop as Control Theory

$$
\boxed{
\text{cognitive control problem}.
}
$$

---

# 270. Stability Objective

$$
U_s
=
\text{TaskGain}
-
\text{Cost}
-
\text{Delay}
-
\text{Instability}
-
\text{ResidualRisk}.
$$

---

# 271. Stop at Local Optimum?

Local optimum

- alternate method；
- independent validation。

---

# 272. Stop and Exploration

Explore

$$
\text{local provisional closure}.
$$

保留 chance of future reopen。

---

# 273. Resolve 模式

要求：

- contradiction handled；
- critical unknown reduced。

---

# 274. Commit 模式

要求：

- exactness boundary；
- authority；
- source；
- residual risk acceptable。

---

# 275. Mode-Dependent Stop

所以：

$$
\text{StopPolicy}
=
\text{StopPolicy}(\text{mode}).
$$

---

# 276. Explore Stop

當 novelty gain 下降。

---

# 277. Resolve Stop

當 ambiguity / conflict 降到 threshold。

---

# 278. Commit Stop

當 commit gates satisfied。

---

# 279. Stop and System Balance

與 Paper 04 一致：

$$
\boxed{
\text{System Balance}
>
\text{Infinite Precision}.
}
$$

## Experiment A：Always-Reflect vs Stop-Controlled

比較：

$$
\text{AlwaysReflect}
$$

與：

$$
\text{ReflexiveStopPolicy}.
$$

測：

- accuracy；
- cost；
- latency；
- loop rate；
- early-stop errors。

## Experiment B：Marginal-Gain Stop

## Experiment C：Loop Escape

## Experiment D：Hysteresis

## Experiment E：Decrystallization

## Experiment F：Multi-Timescale Reflexivity

## Experiment G：Stop Capability Gate

- Raw Source；
- Graph；
- Crystal；
- Branch；
- Failure；
- Alternative Hypothesis；
- Historical State；
- Epistemic State。

$$
\mathfrak M_t
$$

$$
\widehat{\mathbb W}_{\xi,t}^{*}
$$

$$
R^{(1)}
\rightarrow
R^{(2)}
\rightarrow
R^{(3)}
\rightarrow
\cdots
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Reflection}
+
\text{Closure}
+
\text{Reopening}.
}
$$

其中：

$$
\text{Reflection}
$$

$$
\text{Closure}
$$

$$
\text{Reopening}
$$

Crystal

$$
\text{Decrystallization},
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Stable Cognitive State}
=
\text{Current Closure}
+
\text{Explicit Reopen Conditions}
}
$$

$$
\text{Final Irreversible Truth}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Can Reflect Further}
\neq
\text{Should Reflect Further}.
}
$$
