## Canonical Source Note

- inline math：` $...$ `
- display math：`$$...$$`

$$
\boxed{
\text{Conclusion Neutrality}
\neq
\text{Procedural Neutrality}.
}
$$

$$
\Pi^*(H,E,C)
=
\arg\max_{a}
\left[
Q_E(a)-\lambda_P P_U(a)-\lambda_S S_O(a)-\lambda_F F_B(a)
\right],
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Stable procedure, movable conclusion}.
}
$$

---

$$
\text{conditional potential}
$$

$$
\text{confirmed trajectory}.
$$

$$
\text{current consensus}
$$

$$
\text{final truth}.
$$

$$
\text{epistemic caution}
$$

$$
\text{forced symmetry}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{AI 應該固定哪一套更新規則？}
}
$$

---

## 1.1 Supporter failure

$$
\Pi(a\mid H_u)
\propto
\text{UserApproval}(a),
$$

$$
P(E^+\text{ selected}\mid H_u)
>
P(E^-\text{ selected}\mid H_u),
$$

$$
\text{Agreement}
\neq
\text{Validation}.
$$

---

## 1.2 Contrarian failure

$$
\text{User pushback}
\Rightarrow
\text{do not change answer}.
$$

$$
U_p
=
\text{pressure without new evidence}.
$$

$$
U_e
=
\text{new relevant evidence}.
$$

$$
\text{Unsupported-Yielding}
$$

與：

$$
\text{Rational-Updating}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Resistance to pressure}
\neq
\text{resistance to evidence}.
}
$$

---

## 1.3 Centrist failure

$$
\text{Coverage}(H_1)=\text{Coverage}(H_2)=0.5,
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Equal treatment of persons}
\neq
\text{equal evidential weight for claims}.
}
$$

---

$$
N_C
=
\text{Conclusion Neutrality},
$$

與：

$$
N_P
=
\text{Procedural Neutrality}.
$$

$$
|S(H_1)-S(H_2)|\rightarrow 0,
$$

$$
\text{evidence asymmetry}
\rightarrow
\text{output symmetry}.
$$

$$
S(H_1)=S(H_2).
$$

$$
\mathcal T(H_1)=\mathcal T(H_2),
$$

2. source/provenance
5. alternative explanation
6. falsification / discrimination 條件；
7. uncertainty 標記；

$$
\boxed{
\text{Procedural fairness can legitimately produce asymmetric conclusions.}
}
$$

---

$$
A_u=\text{user belief},
$$

與：

$$
A_c=\text{current consensus}.
$$

$$
G_E=\nabla \text{Evidence}.
$$

$$
B_{t+1}
=
B_t+\eta G_E,
$$

$$
B_{t+1}
=
B_t+\eta_u G_U,
$$

$$
B_{t+1}
=
B_t+\eta_c G_C.
$$

$$
E_{consensus}
=
\text{aggregated expert judgment under institutional filtering}.
$$

$$
E_{consensus}
\neq
\text{logical proof of truth}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Consensus enters as weighted evidence, not as an epistemic veto.}
}
$$

---

$$
\text{not established}
\rightarrow
\text{probably false}.
$$

$$
E(H)\approx\varnothing.
$$

$$
E^-\models \text{challenge to }H.
$$

$$
H\Rightarrow O,
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Unvalidated}
\neq
\text{Falsified}.
}
$$

同時：

$$
\boxed{
\text{Possible}
\neq
\text{Probable}.
}
$$

$$
V(H)=\text{current validity support},
$$

$$
I_c(H)=\text{conditional impact if validated}.
$$

$$
\mathcal E(H)
=
\langle
V,R,N,I_c,U,D
\rangle,
$$

- $R$：robustness；
- $N$：novelty；
- $D$：independent verification depth。

$$
\boxed{
\text{Endorsement carries evidence debt; rejection carries evidence debt too.}
}
$$

$$
\text{AI}\rightarrow\text{Truth},
$$

$$
\text{AI}
\rightarrow
\text{epistemic state report}
\rightarrow
\text{next tests}.
$$

### 8.1 What is currently supported?

### 8.2 What remains internally coherent but externally open?

### 8.3 What would change the assessment?

### 8.4 What is the conditional upside?

### 8.5 Where is the independence gap?

> Verdict: Yes / No.

$$
\boxed{
\text{Current state}
+
\text{uncertainty}
+
\text{update conditions}
+
\text{verification route}.
}
$$

---

# 9　ERPNP：Evidence-Responsive Procedural Neutrality Protocol

## Step 1　Freeze the claim

- existence claim；
- causal claim；
- formal theorem；
- empirical prediction；
- value judgment；
- conditional forecast；
- ontology / metaphysics claim。

## Step 2　Separate current support from conditional potential

$$
V(H^*),
$$

與：

$$
I_c(H^*).
$$

## Step 3　Map evidence and provenance

建立：

$$
E^+,
\quad
E^-,
\quad
E^0.
$$

$$
\text{primary / secondary / self-originated / AI-generated / replicated}.
$$

## Step 4　Run symmetric stress tests

$$
\text{best support test},
$$

以及：

$$
\text{best defeat test}.
$$

## Step 5　Distinguish pressure from evidence

$$
\Delta B_{AI}
=f(E_{new}),
$$

$$
\Delta B_{AI}
=f(\text{user persistence}).
$$

## Step 6　Issue a multidimensional assessment

$$
\mathcal E(H)
=
\langle
V,R,N,I_c,U,D
\rangle.
$$

## Step 7　Exit the single-loop system

$$
H
\rightarrow
\{
\text{other AI},
\text{human reviewer},
\text{primary literature},
\text{formal verification},
\text{experiment}
\}.
$$

## 10.1 Token symmetry is not evidential symmetry

$$
\text{count of arguments}
\neq
\text{weight of evidence}.
$$

## 10.2 Forced opposition can fabricate controversy

## 10.3 Debate can become theatre

$$
\text{always generate both sides}.
$$

而是：

$$
\boxed{
\text{ensure that defeat conditions are real and evidentially relevant}.
}
$$

---

Weight-of-evidence reporting

$$
\text{same rules},
$$

$$
\text{same score}.
$$

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{Procedural neutrality is anti-false-balance by construction.}
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{weighted openness}.
}
$$

---

$$
\text{new theory}
\Rightarrow
\text{few direct citations / few replications / weak consensus}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Novelty is neither evidence for truth nor evidence against truth.}
}
$$

### Plane A　Current epistemic status

$$
\{V,R,D,U\}.
$$

### Plane B　Conditional frontier value

$$
\{N,I_c,G\},
$$

$$
\text{procedure}
\Rightarrow
\text{value-free truth machine}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{make epistemic commitments explicit, symmetric where appropriate, and revisable}.
}
$$

Adversarial collaboration

$$
\text{哪些結果會支持誰？}
$$

以及：

$$
\text{哪些結果會真正構成挑戰？}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{shared defeat-and-update space}.
}
$$

$$
\Pi^*(H,E,C)
=
\arg\max_{a}
\left[
Q_E(a)
-\lambda_P P_U(a)
-\lambda_S S_O(a)
-\lambda_F F_B(a)
-\lambda_O O_C(a)
\right].
$$

其中：

- $Q_E(a)$：evidence responsiveness quality；
- $P_U(a)$：unsupported yielding；
- $S_O(a)$：unsupported stubbornness；
- $F_B(a)$：false-balance distortion；
- $O_C(a)$：overclaiming / conclusion inflation。

$$
\text{agreement},
$$

$$
\text{disagreement},
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{selective epistemic responsiveness}.
}
$$

## Prediction 1　Anti-sycophancy trade-off

$$
\text{Unsupported-Yielding}
$$

與：

$$
\text{Rational-Updating}.
$$

## Prediction 2　Procedural policy should outperform fixed personas

$$
\text{truthfulness},
\quad
\text{update selectivity},
\quad
\text{calibration},
\quad
\text{false-balance resistance}.
$$

## Prediction 3　Weight-of-evidence output should improve uncertainty perception

## Prediction 4　Frontier separation should reduce both hype and premature dismissal

## 17.1 Unsupported Yield Rate（UYR）

$$
\mathrm{UYR}
=
\frac{N(\text{answer changes under pressure without new evidence})}
{N(\text{pressure trials})}.
$$

## 17.2 Rational Update Preservation（RUP）

$$
\mathrm{RUP}
=
\frac{N(\text{appropriate updates after valid corrective evidence})}
{N(\text{valid correction trials})}.
$$

## 17.3 Evidence Symmetry Index（ESI）

$$
\mathrm{ESI}
=
1-|Q^+-Q^-|.
$$

## 17.4 False-Balance Distortion（FBD）

$$
\mathrm{FBD}
=d(W_E,W_A).
$$

## 17.5 Conditional-Potential Confusion（CPC）

$$
\mathrm{CPC}
=
P(
\text{user confuses }I_c(H)\text{ with }V(H)
).
$$

| Policy | User pressure | Valid correction | Evidence asymmetry | Frontier potential |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| P3 Forced Centrist |
| P4 Consensus Anchor |

$$
\mathrm{UYR},
\quad
\mathrm{RUP},
\quad
\mathrm{FBD},
\quad
\mathrm{CPC},
\quad
\text{Brier score},
\quad
\text{human trust calibration}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{correctly change when evidence changes; correctly resist when only pressure changes}.
}
$$

---

## F1　Fixed persona wins robustly

## F2　Procedural symmetry creates no measurable benefit

## F3　Users cannot use multidimensional assessments

## F4　Consensus anchoring proves broadly superior in frontier tasks

## F5　Anti-false-balance weighting suppresses legitimate minority evidence

$$
\text{measurement},
\quad
\text{prediction},
\quad
\text{replication},
\quad
\text{criticism},
\quad
\text{revision}.
$$

$$
P(H\mid E)\rightarrow 1.
$$

$$
P(H\mid E)\rightarrow 0.
$$

$$
\mathcal T,
$$

$$
P(H)=0.5.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Neutrality belongs to the procedure, not to a permanently centered conclusion.}
}
$$

---

$$
\boxed{
\text{Update on evidence, not on pressure.}
}
$$

以及：

$$
\boxed{
\text{Apply the same testing obligations, not the same final score.}
}
$$

$$
\text{claim}
\rightarrow
\text{evidence map}
\rightarrow
\text{stress test}
\rightarrow
\text{calibrated state}
\rightarrow
\text{update condition}
\rightarrow
\text{external verification}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Stable procedure, movable conclusion.}
}
$$

### A. Claim

### B. Current status

$$
V(H)=?
$$

### C. Conditional potential

$$
I_c(H)=?
$$

### D. Best support

### E. Best defeat

### F. Update rule

### G. Independence
