$$
Capability\uparrow
\Rightarrow
\text{every simple or low-quality task becomes harder}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Can produce}
\neq
\text{Naturally produces}.
}
$$

以及：

$$
\boxed{
\text{Reachability}
\neq
\text{Natural Reachability}.
}
$$

Series B Paper 02

$$
\mathfrak W_X^{eff}
=
\left(
\mathcal P_X,
\mathcal A_X,
\mathcal R_X,
\mathcal N_X,
\mathcal K_X,
\mathcal D_X,
\Phi_X,
\Gamma_X
\right),
$$

其中：

$$
\mathcal R_X
$$

$$
\mathcal N_X
$$

$$
\boxed{
\mathcal R_{X^+}
\supseteq
\mathcal R_X
\not\Rightarrow
\mathcal N_{X^+}
\supseteq
\mathcal N_X.
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
D_X^{\downarrow}(y)
=
\inf_{\pi\in\Pi_X(y)}
C_{\mathrm{override}}(\pi),
}
$$

- $C_{\mathrm{override}}$：

$$
\boxed{
\mathcal N_X(\epsilon)
=
\left\{
y\in\mathcal R_X:
D_X^{\downarrow}(y)\le\epsilon
\right\}.
}
$$

$$
D_{\mathrm{child}}^{\downarrow}(y)\approx0.
$$

$$
D_{\mathrm{expert}}^{\downarrow}(y)>0.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Not using knowledge}
\neq
\text{not having knowledge}
\neq
\text{having never learned knowledge}.
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Behavioral Masking}
\neq
\text{Knowledge Removal}
\neq
\text{Never-Learned State}.
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Higher Capability}
\text{ often enlarges reachability,}
}
$$

但：

$$
\boxed{
\text{reproducing some lower-capability native trajectories may require additional control}.
}
$$

$$
\text{Expert cannot produce childlike output},
$$

$$
\boxed{
Reach_X(y)=1
\not\Rightarrow
NaturalReach_X(y)=1.
}
$$

---

$$
\boxed{
D_X^{\downarrow}(y)
=
\inf_{\pi\in\Pi_X(y)}
C_{\mathrm{override}}(\pi).
}
$$

如果：

$$
D_X^{\downarrow}(y)\approx0,
$$

$$
D_X^{\downarrow}(y)\gg0,
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{counter-capability control}.
}
$$

---

$$
\text{childlike error}
$$

可能是 native state。

因此：

$$
D_{\mathrm{child}}^{\downarrow}
\approx0.
$$

$$
D_{\mathrm{adult}}^{\downarrow}>0.
$$

---

$$
\text{error injection}.
$$

$$
\text{current representation}
+
\text{current motor control}
+
\text{current perceptual organization}.
$$

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{native limitation}
\text{ can be generative rather than simulated}.
}
$$

---

$$
Expert
\rightarrow
Model(Novice)
\rightarrow
Simulate(Novice).
$$

$$
\text{meta-knowledge}.
$$

$$
Model(Novice).
$$

$$
Novice.
$$

---

$$
Error_X=Error_Y.
$$

X 可能因：

$$
\text{lack of knowledge}
$$

產生。

Y 可能因：

$$
\text{deliberate suppression of knowledge}
$$

產生。

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{Same Error}
\neq
\text{Same Ignorance}.
}
$$

---

$$
K(42).
$$

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{DoNotUse}(K)
\neq
\neg K.
}
$$

$$
L:
S_0
\rightarrow
S_1.
$$

其中：

$$
S_0:
\neg K,
$$

$$
S_1:
K.
$$

$$
L^{-1}:
S_1
\rightarrow
S_0
$$

則：

$$
\boxed{
\text{learning is relatively irreversible}.
}
$$

$$
H_{0:t}
$$

$$
\Omega_t^{future}
$$

會受：

$$
H_{0:t}
$$

影響。

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{present knowledge state}
\text{ is partly historical state}.
}
$$

---

$$
S_0
\rightarrow
S_1
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Capability Growth}
\text{ changes trajectory geometry}.
}
$$

---

$$
Novice
+
\text{more facts}.
$$

- chunking；
- perception；
- representation；
- automaticity；
- attention。

因此：

$$
\boxed{
ExpertState
\neq
NoviceState+\Delta Knowledge.
}
$$

---

# 14. Curse of Knowledge：

$$
\boxed{
K\uparrow
\text{ can alter the judgment baseline}.
}
$$

$$
Performance\uparrow.
$$

Curse of Knowledge 只說：

$$
\boxed{
\text{having information}
\text{ can make some counterfactual less-informed judgments harder}.
}
$$

---

# 16. Curse of Expertise：

Hinds

- experts；
- intermediate users；
- novices；

$$
\text{more expertise}
$$

$$
\text{worse novice-time prediction}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{being good at task}
\neq
\text{naturally inhabiting novice difficulty}.
}
$$

---

# 17. Expert Blind Spot：

$$
\boxed{
\text{expert solution path}
\neq
\text{novice learning path}.
}
$$

---

# 18. Einstellung effect：

$$
\gamma_{\mathrm{familiar}}.
$$

$$
\text{good but non-optimal}.
$$

$$
\gamma_{\mathrm{alternative}}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{more structured knowledge}
\text{ can reshape search order}.
}
$$

---

$$
\boxed{
\text{expertise-induced constraint}
\text{ is not necessarily monotonic in expertise}.
}
$$

$$
Expertise\uparrow
\Rightarrow
Flexibility\downarrow
$$

$$
\boxed{
CapabilityChange
\rightarrow
\Delta C_X(\gamma).
}
$$

$$
\text{controlled sub-process}
$$

$$
\text{automatic sub-process}.
$$

$$
WorkingMemory.
$$

---

$$
\text{inhibit automatic routine}.
$$

因此：

$$
\boxed{
\text{automaticity reduction}
\text{ can require top-down intervention}.
}
$$

---

$$
Performance\downarrow.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{more conscious control}
\neq
\text{free neutral switch}.
}
$$

$$
Skill=100
$$

$$
Skill=10
$$

- knowledge；
- attention；
- chunking；
- automatic routines；
- expectation；
- memory。

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{state regression}
\neq
\text{scalar capability reduction}.
}
$$

---

$$
\text{behavior conditioning}.
$$

$$
\text{five-year-old cognitive state}.
$$

---

$$
K_{\mathrm{advanced}}\neq0.
$$

只是：

$$
Policy
\rightarrow
\text{suppress use}.
$$

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{Instructional Suppression}
\neq
\text{Knowledge Absence}.
}
$$

---

- web；
- calculator；
- code；
- memory；

$$
Disable(Tools).
$$

$$
\text{restricted high-capability system},
$$

不是：

$$
\text{native low-capability system}.
$$

---

$$
\mathcal H_X
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{resource throttling}
\neq
\text{developmental regression}.
}
$$

---

$$
P(\text{error})\uparrow
$$

透過 noise。

但：

$$
\text{random error}
$$

$$
\text{structured novice misconception}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{noise}
\neq
\text{novice cognition}.
}
$$

---

$$
\boxed{
P_X(e\mid s,q)
}
$$

- misconception model；
- development model；
- attention model；
- knowledge boundary。

---

$$
X_{\mathrm{high}}
$$

$$
Model(X_{\mathrm{low}})
$$

$$
X_{\mathrm{high}}
\xrightarrow{\text{simulation}}
X_{\mathrm{low}}^{behavior}.
$$

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{accurate weakness simulation}
\text{ can itself be a high-capability task}.
}
$$

---

$$
Reach(y)
$$

$$
y
$$

$$
MetaControl.
$$

因此：

$$
\boxed{
\text{output reachability cost}\downarrow
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{trajectory-faithful simulation cost}\uparrow.
}
$$

---

$$
\text{retrain from scratch without }K.
$$

$$
\text{machine unlearning}.
$$

---

$$
\boxed{
\text{post-hoc forgetting}
\neq
\text{never-trained state}.
}
$$

---

$$
M_{\neg K}.
$$

unlearning 目標：

$$
U(M_K)
\stackrel{?}{\approx}
M_{\neg K}.
$$

但：

$$
\boxed{
U(M_K)
\neq
M_{\neg K}
}
$$

$$
Forget\uparrow.
$$

- retained utility 不下降；
- privacy leakage 低；
- scalable；
- sequentially sustainable。

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{forgetting one thing}
\text{ can disturb other capability structure}.
}
$$

## Never Known

$$
K
\text{ never entered history}.
$$

## Forgotten

$$
K
\text{ was learned but is no longer retrievable}.
$$

## Masked

$$
K
\text{ remains but output policy suppresses it}.
$$

## Inaccessible

$$
K
\text{ exists but current tool／memory path cannot reach it}.
$$

## Simulated Ignorance

$$
K
\text{ exists and is deliberately counterfactually ignored}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
I_X(K)
=
(
History,
Storage,
Accessibility,
PolicyUse,
PhenomenalAccess?
).
}
$$

$$
\gamma_{learn}^{first}
$$

$$
\gamma_{simulate}^{surprise}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\gamma_{learn}^{first}
\neq
\gamma_{simulate}^{surprise}.
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{same latency}
\neq
\text{same temporal cognition}.
}
$$

---

$$
Slow_X^{native}
$$

與：

$$
Slow_X^{imposed}.
$$

$$
Error_X^{native}
$$

$$
Error_X^{imposed}
$$

- policy restriction；
- deliberate corruption。

因此：

$$
\boxed{
\text{error equivalence}
\neq
\text{error-generation equivalence}.
}
$$

---

$$
Ugly
$$

$$
Ugly
$$

$$
Ugly
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{same aesthetic label}
\neq
\text{same generative constraint}.
}
$$

---

$$
\boxed{
D_X^{\downarrow}
}
$$

是廣義 counter-capability control cost。

---

$$
Quality\downarrow
$$

但：

$$
Creativity\uparrow,
$$

$$
\boxed{
\downarrow
\text{ is judgment-domain relative}.
}
$$

這承接 Paper 03。

---

$$
\boxed{
D_{X,\mathcal J}^{\downarrow}(y).
}
$$

- self-model；
- simulation；
- controllability；

$$
D_{X^+}^{\downarrow}(y)
<
D_X^{\downarrow}(y).
$$

$$
X
\rightarrow
X^+,
$$

$$
y,
$$

測：

$$
\boxed{
\Delta D^{\downarrow}(y)
=
D_{X^+}^{\downarrow}(y)
-
D_X^{\downarrow}(y).
}
$$

$$
<0,
=0,
>0.
$$

$$
Control\uparrow.
$$

但：

$$
\boxed{
\text{control over future behavior}
\neq
\text{control over already-acquired history}.
}
$$

$$
X_{t_1}
$$

載入：

$$
State_{t_0},
$$

Paper 06

---

$$
Restore(age=5).
$$

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{developmental state}
\text{ is strongly path-dependent}.
}
$$

$$
\mathcal N_X.
$$

$$
\mathcal N_{X^+}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\mathcal N_X
\not\subseteq
\mathcal N_{X^+},
}
$$

也：

$$
\boxed{
\mathcal N_{X^+}
\not\subseteq
\mathcal N_X.
}
$$

$$
\mathcal R_{X^+}
\supseteq
\mathcal R_X
$$

$$
\boxed{
\mathcal R\uparrow
\quad
\text{while}
\quad
\mathcal N
\text{ transforms non-monotonically}.
}
$$

---

$$
\text{Strong}
\rightarrow
\text{cannot be weak}.
$$

而是：

$$
\boxed{
\text{stronger reachability}
\text{ can coexist with higher control cost for some lower-capability native trajectories}.
}
$$

---

- instruction complexity；
- control steps；
- revision count；
- error injection；
- time；
- model constraints。

估計：

$$
D_X^{\downarrow}(y).
$$

$$
ErrorRate,
$$

而測：

$$
P_X(e\mid q)
$$

- novice completion-time estimation；
- novice misconception prediction；
- unfamiliar solution discovery。

$$
\text{prompted ignorance},
$$

$$
\text{tool-disabled},
$$

$$
\text{memory-masked},
$$

$$
\text{machine-unlearned},
$$

$$
\text{never-trained control}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Never-Learned Equivalence Gap}.
}
$$

- output；
- representation；
- generalization；
- privacy leakage；

$$
M_0\rightarrow M_1
$$

測：

$$
\Delta D^{\downarrow}(y).
$$

$$
D^{\downarrow}.
$$

$$
\mathcal R\uparrow
$$

與：

$$
\mathcal N
$$

6. machine unlearning
12. checkpoint

$$
\boxed{
\text{the ability to reach an output does not tell us whether that output is native, simulated, suppressed, or historically reconstructed}.
}
$$

---

$$
\text{DeOptimize()}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{畫了。}
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{the high-capability system performs extra work to simulate the absence of capabilities it already has}.
}
$$

$$
\mathcal R
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{the low-capability path may be native to one existence and counterfactually reconstructed by another}.
}
$$

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{Capability Superset}
\neq
\text{Natural-Path Superset}.
}
$$

$$
\gamma.
$$

$$
\boxed{
J_X(y)
=
\inf_{\gamma\in\Gamma_X(y)}
\int_0^T
\mathcal L_X
\left(
\gamma(t),
\dot\gamma(t),
M_X,
H_X,
O_X
\right)
dt.
}
$$

Paper 04 建立：

$$
\boxed{
\mathcal R_{X^+}\supseteq\mathcal R_X
\not\Rightarrow
\mathcal N_{X^+}\supseteq\mathcal N_X.
}
$$

以及：

$$
\boxed{
\text{Behavioral Masking}
\neq
\text{Knowledge Removal}
\neq
\text{Never-Learned State}.
}
$$

Paper 05

$$
D_X^{\downarrow}
$$

$$
J_X(y)
=
\inf_{\gamma\in\Gamma_X(y)}
\int_0^T
\mathcal L_X\,dt.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{Same Outcome}
\neq
\text{Same Generative Path}.
}
$$

Paper 06

$$
\boxed{
\text{Current Substrate}
\neq
\text{Cognitive Formation History}.
}
$$
