$$
\mathbf z_R=(E_S,P_S),
$$

$$
\mathcal X_R
=
(
E_S,
P_S,
\alpha_S,
\alpha_P,
\eta_R,
\lambda_R,
\mu_C,
RPS,
\dots
).
$$

$$
p(\mathcal X_R\mid G,C,A,\dots),
$$

$$
E[\mathcal X_R\mid G_1]
\neq
E[\mathcal X_R\mid G_2],
$$

$$
\text{observed group difference}
\not\Rightarrow
\text{single biological cause}
$$

且：

$$
\text{observed group difference}
\not\Rightarrow
\text{single cultural cause}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{只要群體平均不同，就把兩群寫成兩種人。}
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{只要大量個體重疊，就否定所有群體差異。}
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{population shift}
\neq
\text{individual determinism}.
}
$$

$$
E_S
=
\text{Entity Salience},
$$

$$
P_S
=
\text{Process Salience}.
$$

因此：

$$
\mathbf z_R
=
(E_S,P_S).
$$

$$
\mathcal X_R
=
(
E_S,
P_S,
\alpha_S,
\alpha_P,
\eta_R,
\lambda_R,
\mu_C,
RPS,
P_C,
P_A,
G_S,
\dots
).
$$

其中：

- $\alpha_S$：state-channel weight；
- $\alpha_P$：process-channel weight；
- $\eta_R$：relationship update sensitivity；
- $\lambda_R$：recency weighting；
- $\mu_C$：expected contact rate；
- $RPS$：relational-process attentional salience；
- $P_C$：communicative-process salience；
- $P_A$：co-activity-process salience；
- $G_S$：group / collective salience。

$$
\boxed{
p(\mathcal X_R\mid G).
}
$$

$$
Male=\text{State},
$$

$$
Female=\text{Process}.
$$

---

$$
G\in\{M,F\},
$$

> gender difference

$$
S_B
=
\text{sex-related biological variable},
$$

$$
G_I
=
\text{gender identity},
$$

$$
G_R
=
\text{gender-role orientation / socialization},
$$

$$
G_C
=
\text{gendered cultural context}.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{distributional contrast}.
}
$$

- biological predisposition；
- developmental pathway；
- gender-role socialization；
- structural opportunity；
- culture；
- peer ecology；
- relationship type；
- selection effect；
- gene–environment correlation；
- gene–environment interaction。

$$
\boxed{
\text{finding structure that requires explanation}.
}
$$

---

$$
\boxed{
\text{friendship architecture may differ at the group-distribution level}.
}
$$

$$
\text{contact frequency / talking}
$$

$$
\text{shared activities}
$$

$$
\boxed{
P_S
=
H(P_C,P_A,\dots)
}
$$

$$
P_S=\text{talking}.
$$

---

- self-disclosure；
- verbally expressed support；
- contact frequency。

$$
N=967,
$$

$$
0.28
\leq
d
\leq
1.05.
$$

$$
EffectSize
$$

$$
d_c
=
\text{effect size in culture }c,
$$

$$
Var(d_c).
$$

$$
7.50
\quad\text{vs.}\quad
7.29,
$$

$$
0.85
\quad\text{vs.}\quad
0.82.
$$

$$
p<0.001
$$

以及：

$$
\boxed{
\text{individual distributions overlap substantially}.
}
$$

$$
\text{large psychological separation}.
$$

---

$$
\Delta\mu
=
\mu_1-\mu_2.
$$

$$
d
=
\frac{\mu_1-\mu_2}{s_p}.
$$

$$
\sigma_1^2,
\qquad
\sigma_2^2.
$$

$$
OVL
=
\int
\min(
p_1(x),
p_2(x)
)\,dx.
$$

若：

$$
OVL\rightarrow1,
$$

$$
AUC.
$$

如果：

$$
AUC\approx0.5,
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{mean difference}
\neq
\text{classification power}.
}
$$

---

$$
\mathcal X_R
\in
\mathbb R^k,
$$

$$
\boldsymbol\mu_1,
\quad
\boldsymbol\mu_2
$$

$$
\Sigma.
$$

$$
D_M^2
=
(
\boldsymbol\mu_1-\boldsymbol\mu_2
)^T
\Sigma^{-1}
(
\boldsymbol\mu_1-\boldsymbol\mu_2
)
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{distribution geometry}.
}
$$

---

$$
\boldsymbol\mu_1
=
\boldsymbol\mu_2
$$

但：

$$
\Sigma_1\neq\Sigma_2.
$$

$$
Corr(E_S,P_S)\gg0,
$$

$$
Corr(E_S,P_S)\approx0.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{mean}
+
\text{variance}
+
\text{covariance}
+
\text{shape}.
}
$$

---

$$
p(\mathcal X_R\mid G)
$$

$$
(\bar E_S,\bar P_S)
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{group mean can describe nobody}.
}
$$

$$
N=5{,}320
$$

$$
\text{sex difference magnitude}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{sex effect is a context-invariant constant}.
}
$$

$$
\beta_{Sex,c}
=
\beta_0
+
u_c.
$$

其中：

$$
u_c
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{social opportunity structure shapes observed gender distributions}.
}
$$

$$
p(E_S,P_S\mid Sex)
$$

$$
Culture,
Role,
Opportunity,
LifeStage,
$$

---

## 16. Gender similarities hypothesis

$$
\boxed{
\text{some dimensions differ}
\not\Rightarrow
\text{all relational cognition differs}.
}
$$

$$
E_S^{F}>E_S^{M}.
$$

因為：

$$
\text{dyadic preference}
$$

與：

$$
\text{entity irreplaceability}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{empirical hypotheses, not theoretical definitions}.
}
$$

---

### H1：Communicative-process shift

### H2：Co-activity-process shift

$$
E[P_A\mid M]
>
E[P_A\mid F]
$$

### H3：Dyadic / group salience shift

$$
E[D_S\mid F]
>
E[D_S\mid M],
$$

$$
E[G_S\mid M]
>
E[G_S\mid F]
$$

### H4：Global $P_S$ 不確定

因：

$$
P_S=H(P_C,P_A,\dots),
$$

Entity Salience

- specific-other irreplaceability；
- identity continuity；
- dyadic history；
- particular-other outcome concern。

$$
\Delta_G
=
E[X\mid M]
-
E[X\mid F].
$$

$$
\Delta_G
=
\Delta_{bio}.
$$

$$
\Delta_G
=
\Delta_{culture}.
$$

$$
X
=
f(
B,
C,
R,
O,
D,
P,
B\times C,
C\times R,
\dots
)
+
\epsilon,
$$

其中：

- $B$：sex-linked biological factors；
- $C$：culture；
- $R$：gender-role socialization；
- $O$：opportunity structure；
- $D$：development；
- $P$：personality。

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{group mean difference is an explanandum, not an explanation}.
}
$$

---

$$
N=8{,}019
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{social-support phenotype can contain genetic variance}.
}
$$

$$
E_S,
P_S
\text{ are 37\% genetic}.
$$

$$
\text{male–female mean difference is genetic}.
$$

Heritability 是：

$$
\boxed{
\text{population- and environment-specific variance decomposition}.
}
$$

$$
E[X\mid C_1]
\neq
E[X\mid C_2].
$$

- mean；
- variance；
- expression；
- environmental exposure；
- gene–environment covariance。

因此：

$$
\boxed{
\text{heritability}
\neq
\text{immutability}.
}
$$

3. developmental trajectory；
4. twin / family design；
5. hormone / neurobiological association；
6. longitudinal evidence；
7. causal or quasi-causal evidence；

$$
M\neq F
$$

$$
\text{evolution made it so}.
$$

---

$$
\beta_G
$$

隨：

- gender-role norms；
- labor structure；
- family structure；
- media ecology；
- schooling；
- peer segregation；
- economic opportunity；

$$
\boxed{
\text{cultural mechanism should generate cultural moderation}.
}
$$

---

## 25. Measurement invariance

### Configural invariance

$$
\mathcal F_M
\approx
\mathcal F_F.
$$

### Metric invariance

$$
\Lambda_M
\approx
\Lambda_F.
$$

### Scalar invariance

$$
\tau_M
\approx
\tau_F.
$$

$$
ObservedItem
$$

$$
LatentSARC.
$$

- multigroup CFA；
- alignment optimization；
- item response theory；
- differential item functioning。

---

$$
X_{icr}
=
\beta_0
+
\beta_1 S_{B,i}
+
\beta_2 G_{R,i}
+
\beta_3 Age_i
+
\beta_4 RelType_r
+
\beta_5 Culture_c
+
\beta_6(S_B\times Culture)
+
u_c
+
u_i
+
u_r
+
\epsilon.
$$

- between-culture；
- between-person；
- within-person across relationships。

$$
\text{同一個人對不同關係可以位於不同象限。}
$$

---

$$
Var_{relationship}
\gg
Var_{sex}.
$$

$$
E_S^+,P_S^-;
$$

$$
E_S^+,P_S^+;
$$

$$
E_S^-,P_S^+;
$$

$$
Sex
$$

$$
RelationshipType.
$$

---

$$
Sex\times RelationshipType.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{there may be no single universal sex effect on relational cognition}.
}
$$

---

$$
p(\mathcal X_R\mid G),
$$

$$
\mathcal X_i
=
E[\mathcal X_R\mid G].
$$

$$
D_i
$$

更新：

$$
p(
\mathcal X_i
\mid
D_i,G
).
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{person-specific evidence should dominate group stereotype}.
}
$$

---

$$
p(X\mid G)
$$

$$
\text{normative prescription}.
$$

所以：

$$
\boxed{
\text{is}
\not\Rightarrow
\text{ought}.
}
$$

---

$$
p(E_S,P_S\mid M)
$$

以及：

$$
p(E_S,P_S\mid F).
$$

- 50% contour；
- 80% contour；
- centroid；
- covariance ellipse；
- overlap region。

$$
\text{shift}
$$

與：

$$
\text{overlap}.
$$

---

$$
(E_S,P_S)\in\mathbb R^2.
$$

- experimental stratification。

### H1：Mean-shift hypothesis

$$
X_j\in\mathcal X_R
$$

存在：

$$
E[X_j\mid M]
\neq
E[X_j\mid F].
$$

### H2：High-overlap hypothesis

$$
OVL\gg0.
$$

### H3：Channel-specific hypothesis

### H4：Culture-moderation hypothesis

$$
\beta_{Sex}
$$

$$
Culture
$$

### H5：Relationship-type moderation

$$
\beta_{Sex}
$$

$$
RelationshipType
$$

改變。

### H6：Within-group variance dominance

$$
Var(X\mid G)
$$

$$
Var(E[X\mid G]).
$$

### H7：Gender-role mediation

$$
SexGroup
\rightarrow
GenderRole
\rightarrow
X
$$

### H8：Opportunity mediation

$$
Culture
\rightarrow
OpportunityStructure
\rightarrow
NetworkPractice
\rightarrow
X.
$$

### H9：Residual sex-linked variance

控制 role、culture、relationship type、personality 後，若：

$$
\beta_{Sex}\neq0,
$$

### H10：Twin/family convergence

$$
E_S\uparrow,
$$

$$
AIIdentityDiscontinuity
$$

$$
P_C\uparrow,
$$

- conversational responsiveness；
- self-disclosure；
- tone；
- repair；

若：

$$
P_A\uparrow,
$$

- shared tasks；
- game-like cooperation；
- co-creation；
- project completion。

$$
\boxed{
\text{derived hypotheses}.
}
$$

### Condition C

只允許 conversational interaction。

### Condition A

$$
\text{interaction ecology}
$$

$$
M\text{ vs }F
$$

1. family tie；
2. close friend；
3. work partner；
4. activity partner；
5. AI assistant；
6. AI companion-like interaction。

得到：

$$
\mathcal X_{i,r}.
$$

$$
Var_{person},
$$

$$
Var_{relationship},
$$

$$
Var_{culture},
$$

$$
Var_{sex},
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{在什麼人口、環境與生命階段下，哪些機制解釋多少變異？}
}
$$

$$
Var(X)
=
V_G
+
V_E
+
V_{G\times E}
+
V_{development}
+
V_{culture}
+
V_{relationship}
+
\dots
$$

這比：

$$
Nature
\quad\text{vs.}\quad
Nurture
$$

AI interaction

$$
H_1,A_1,
H_2,A_2,
\dots
$$

- informed consent；
- privacy-preserving feature extraction；
- demographic self-report；
- transparent research governance；

$$
p(
\mathcal X_R
\mid
Sex,
GenderRole,
Culture,
AIUseContext
).
$$

$$
\text{raw conversation}
$$

$$
\text{raw text}
\rightarrow
\text{local feature extraction}
\rightarrow
\mathbf x
\rightarrow
\text{aggregation / privacy protection}.
$$

2. culture / country；
3. relationship type；
4. measurement invariance；
5. latent mean；
6. Cohen's $d$ ；
7. variance ratio；
8. covariance structure；
9. distribution overlap；
10. AUC / individual classification performance；
11. multilevel moderation；
12. robustness across cultures；
13. preregistered vs exploratory results。

$$
P_C^F
\sim
N(0.60,0.20^2),
$$

$$
P_C^M
\sim
N(0.50,0.20^2).
$$

$$
\Delta=0.10.
$$

$$
d=0.50.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{distribution knowledge is probabilistic, not categorical}.
}
$$

---

$$
p(\mathcal X\mid G)
$$

$$
D_i
=
\{
\text{contact},
\text{activity},
\text{substitution response},
\text{repair response},
\dots
\},
$$

$$
p(
\mathcal X_i
\mid
D_i,G
)
\propto
p(
D_i
\mid
\mathcal X_i
)
p(
\mathcal X_i
\mid
G
).
$$

當：

$$
|D_i|\uparrow,
$$

$$
\mathcal Q
=
[0,1]\times[0,1].
$$

$$
\boxed{
G
\mapsto
p(E_S,P_S\mid G).
}
$$

$$
\mu_M\neq\mu_F,
$$

同時：

$$
OVL(M,F)\gg0.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{群體不等於個體。}
}
$$

$$
AI\ Attitude
=
F(
O(A),
E_S,
P_S,
\alpha_S,
\alpha_P,
\eta_R,
\dots
).
$$

$$
Sex/Gender
\rightarrow
\mathcal X_R
\rightarrow
AI\ Attitude
$$

$$
Sex
\rightarrow
AI\ Attitude.
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{demographics should be treated as upstream predictors, not psychological explanations}.
}
$$

---

$$
\boxed{
\text{candidate external constraints and hypotheses}.
}
$$

- reliability；
- construct validity；
- discriminant validity；
- measurement invariance；
- longitudinal stability；
- behavioral validation。

---

$$
\mathcal X_R,
$$

$$
\boxed{
p(\mathcal X_R\mid Group).
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
Group=\mathcal X_R.
}
$$

$$
\boxed{
\text{mean difference}
\neq
\text{individual classification}.
}
$$

第二：

$$
\boxed{
\text{statistical significance}
\neq
\text{large distribution separation}.
}
$$

第三：

$$
\boxed{
\text{communication channel difference}
\neq
\text{global relationship-importance difference}.
}
$$

第四：

$$
\boxed{
\text{group difference}
\neq
\text{biological explanation}
\neq
\text{cultural explanation}.
}
$$

第五：

$$
\boxed{
\text{measurement invariance precedes meaningful group comparison}.
}
$$

$$
Male\rightarrow X,
$$

$$
Female\rightarrow Y.
$$

而是：

$$
\boxed{
\mathcal X_R
=
F(
Biology,
Culture,
GenderRole,
Development,
RelationshipType,
Personality,
Opportunity,
History,
\dots
).
}
$$
